I unfortunately never met your dad, but I did work on this project way back then (around 1984 I think). I was hired 'freelance' by Gretchen Heck to work on 'Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore' which came out at theaters with the re-release of 'The Sword in the Stone'. Afterwards, The Bollo Caper came up. It was a nice suprise to me back then. We also did some short work for Disney when they were building EPCOT Center! Wow, the memories.
I'm Rick Reinert's daughter. I LOVE seeing my dad's animated specials all over the web!! He's an extremely talented, "old-fashioned" animator -- using paints, brushes and cells. At age 85, he enjoys a nice "semi"-retirement with my mom in Westlake Village, CA. Thanks for the kind words! I'll pass them along...
@KrautGirl815 I hope he enjoys his retirement well, though I miss seeing his work personally myself. I came across one of his demo reels from the 70's in my film collection and it impressed me what he did then too. A lot of it needs to be preserved digitally someplace.
Beautiful animation. reminds me of chuck jones and don bluth. Rick is an incredibly underestimated artist.

@spasse20 Starting to think there needs to be a website on his life and work somehow.
