like i said, context and implication. Learn to express yourself better and you won't convey things you don't mean to.
Please also refer to the word "if" at the beginning of the quote you just used from my post. Either way you have missed the point and failed to understand the written form.....twice. : )
@CommonRaven "You don't do your children any favors by teaching them that there are no consequences for their actions"
When read after your 1st paragraph it implies that no spanking equals no consequences. If this is not what you intended then please learn to express yourself in the written form in a more articulate way, : )
@CommonRaven have you heard of natural consequences? If you think spanking is the only way to show consequences then its your parenting thats in question. Many of us understand there is far more to parenting than whether we spank or not.
my mom physically abused me and my little brother. DCFS investigated ON THEIR OWN because in school I was showing signs of an abused child. My mom called it spanking. It was abuse, and it was out of anger. She also had a chemical imbalance and possibly ADHD. My dad spanked us but not out of anger and it wasn't abuse. me and him are close. But because there are phsycos out there like my mom who will use it as an execuse to beat children, it should come to an end, I still hv healt prblms due 2 it.
what no that is not how children learn when i got spanked i did not do it agin and no it is not saying it is ok to hit somebody if that happen we would have a lot more abuse and everything this is so wac
@jhartman1210 Sadly, every 5 hours a child is killed in the United States by their parents or caregivers. As a child advocate - I know some parents will continue to spank their kids on the butt and I also believe hitting a child out of anger teaches a child only anger. Very tough subject but we've got to continue to talk about the elephant in the room - child cruelty is an epidemic in this country. It's my passion to create awareness and teach others about knowledge based parenting.
@momonthestreets Thats why you don't spank your child while angry. Discipline is about teaching as the lady said, so there are other ways. But sometimes the way they learn is by spanking. If you have to do it all the time, then its not working. Some kids don't care if you take things from them, some refuse to be positively reinforced, and some sneak out while grounded. They may need to be spanked. Its on an individual basis. Alot of people that were spanked are upstanding citizens.
Thanks for sharing this thougtful footage with us. I'm sure all parents won't agree when it comes to the use of CP, but at least your side is presented here in a low-key, non-confrontational way. As the saying goes, one can catch a lot more flies with honey than with vinegar! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! :)
@CommonRaven *sigh*

Spanking teaches children to obey people who hit them, what kind of fucking life lesson is that?
Ryansax1983 5 months ago 2

Surely if you are a "Mom on the streets" your children would be better off in a care home?
