  • brave men RIP

  • Blue skies gents R.I.P

  • Gone but still remembered

  • As we approach the sixth anniversary of our tragic loss, I still weep at the loss of our fine crew who were my friends. God needed fine men that day and he took them doing what they knew best. I also offer remembrance to my friend WO Dougie Johnson who served in Iraq during the time of our loss; a good friend who survived many wars but answered God's calling through cancer in 2007; fly straight and level and may fair winds cusion your wings fellas. Per Ardua Ad Astra. God bless you x

  • why has somebody disliked this video !. r.i.p to those have died fighting for freedom of others and for their country

  • this is sad very sad but my mind is always with the gunners and the whole RAF, keep it up guys, PEACE

I'm currently in the UAS and got my pilot selection soon.

    Richard

  • how did it crash and R.I.P 2 these and all aussie diggers who lost their lives

  • The aircraft was shot down. Just how and with what has been deeped to be clasified so we'll never know.

However, the damage caused by "hit" ripped off the wing tip, setting fire to the fuel vapour in the ulage. The aircraft lost control and then crashed. The Australian was the navigator. The captain was a close friend of mine.

  • RIP. Good to see the truth coming out at the inquest. There needs to be a properly established authority to oversee airworthiness to ensure this is not repeated.

  • I have had the joy serve with most of the the crew that where on xx179 I was part of 47AD SQN at lyneham.

I will never forget the day I heard of the accident. A big loss to RAF Lyneham and also of the regiment of the signaler who died.
