iv always been a big fan of this game since i was a kid an im 23 now, ur right about aiming at the floor its useless. this is by far the best version, i played the megadrive/genesis version first and it was quite frustrating, it was so easy to get lost, plus all the missions consisted of saving prisoners, were in this there if a few different ones. LOL the gameboy version was abysmal, the NES version was A JOKE. an the master system / gamegear was a better version in comparison with the nes.
Always loved this game, still plays it now and then even up to this point.
A big problem with the game however, is when you enter later stages the difficulty level turns up way to the extreme.
When the blue and green skinned aliens start appearing, which takes forever to destroy with the pulse rifle. All of a sudden the flamethrower is a must, but not the ordinary orange-fluid powered. no, then you have to get the blue or green fluid, to even stand a chance.
Well, in the days of the stars, I would have given you three stars out of five, but since it's now strictly thumbs up or thumbs down, I give this a thumbs up.
I really like this game a lot, played it for hours. Your words about the soundtrack and atmosphere are so true. I do recall the isses with controls but for me dealing with that was worth it to get to play more of this otherwise great game.
Yaaa I remember playing this game with my brother when I was a kid. I dont really like the Alien movies or the games, I think they are getting a little more credit than they deserve. But this game is an exception. Its pretty good. Dont remember that it was so hard do..
I loved this game as a kid. But now I have played the sega version and its a little better.
