  • @Yetaxa, oh ok! I hope they eventually find a copy of episode 4!! damn the original cyber men were creepy,,,

  • awesome thanks for posting. now this is rumor of cybermen returing in new doctor season 6.

  • I can't believe they destroyed the fourth episode, but not the first three!!! That sucks...=(

  • @blackphoenix77 Technically they destroyed all of them, but copies were kept of the first three

  • @blackphoenix77 you'd rather they destroyed the first three as well...??

  • Yoouuuuuuu will do as I command.

  • Ah gone are the days when the Cyberman had lace-up boots...

  • Wasn't this story set in 1986 and and the Invasion set in 1968?

Unless The Moonbase or Wheel in Space 'blasts' the cybermen into the past. I haven't actually seen those two.

    Great clip though!!!

  • The Cybermen buil,t time machines; in 'Earthshock', they travel back to prevent the destruction of Mondas.

  • @MattRoyston12345 Don't you mean Attack of the Cyberman?

  • WTF where are the cybermen?!

  • This could come out on DVD I mean it's only 1 episode to animate rather than 2 in The Invasion, so it'll be cheaper!

  • I agree but episode is out ther cause these were returned (ep 1-3) and it i think it would be better to have the actual episode but the animation would be good aswell

  • @powerhousechipmunk23

Wait, why didn't they give it a stand alone DVD release? I know the animation is expensive but they could just hire a company like Studio B to do Flash Animation for the missing scenes.

  • I Thought These Cybermen Looked The Scariest!!!

  • except their hands showed

  • your totally missing the point of the cybermen ! or you just dont know anything about the real cybermen !

  • No, I just didn't see any Cybermen in this clip, wtf? how could I not get them?

  • i was responding to your comment about their hands showing actually !

  • great monsters

  • Here we go...

  • You mean they exist.

Odd way to say it... 'commonplace'.

    Who speaks like that?!

  • wow ho.great video.

  • Nice censor. Also note that this is 1966

  • I Know but they could have done a bit better

  • Its also very low budget

  • i gotta love the way mondas is cycling through an entire day in about a minute

  • Far less flashy and better for it than the new Doctor. There is a more serious tone and hence it is more frightening. The original Cybermen where pretty nasty too - not caring a damm about human life.

  • They're both quite good; I can't imagine running this today and having it pass muster with an audience raised on CGI and post-ironic action heroes.

That said, I'm generally fonder of the original model Cybermen and Daleks; the less polished FX, as with, say, King Kong, give them an eerier, more alien "Uncanny Valley" air.

  • season 4 you mean

  • Blue Peter wiped some, but while the 4th doctor was in cast, some data was wiped then. And I tracked it with a program and it was on the tenth planet episode, so any footage of the tenth planet on youtube is actually quite rare.

  • The BBC should make a cartoon of the lost episode four like they did with the Invasion DVD, why did the BBC lose that episode, why did they trust Blue Peter to use it without losing it!

  • giles they did do that with the tenth planet but at this point its only obtainable on video, and the fourth episode is narrated by someone (from the cast i can't remember who) with photographs interlocking the narration and the video of the doctor's regeneration

  • The version I got they used the audio track with photos, written texts to describe the and and video recorded from a TV screen

  • classic!

  • What the it bareley shows the oold cybermen hell of a shame! gwahh

  • this eppisode is supposed to have been destroyed by the bbc. WTF?

  • Only episode 4 was destroyed.

  • @pcfan10

What if it's still out there? Maybe somewhere in Africa or Japan, there might be a film reel?

  • I never though I spend my time viewing old series like this one, but it's fantastic, tha history of this episode it catch you even you don't want. Thanks for post it. Rafa Martell

  • I love the stereotypical american General in this!

  • American General played by an apparently talented British actor. They did this 5 years later for the Bill Filer character in 'The Claws Of Axos'

  • Love that one! I wish they would get actual american people to do it though.

  • I learned that the actor that played Bill Filer in the 'Claws Of Axos' was Canadian, which is as close to American-sounding as you can get without faking accents

  • slap bang? Ecellent choice in words there General. Though I do enjoy these old episodes of the Doctor.

  • respect

  • love the way mondas is cycling through an entire day in about a minute

  • more like in 4 seconds

  • 7.5 seconds actualy i counted

  • wow you really live up to your name
