  • Is this Ralph Stanley?

  • @DoubleDipperBrian Ralph and his late brother Carter.

  • lovely

  • Great post; thoroughly enjoyed thank you.

In my opinion you don't get harmonies much better that the Stanley Brothers.

By the way, the word "lost" is a good KJV Bible word and describes very well the condition a soul outside of Christ is in.

  • RIP, Carter Stanley. Your songs will live forever-they convey a meaning for many of us; sorry we could not have met in this lifetime-maybe the next.

  • Great song I was born and raised near the hills of home in dickenson county and to hear carters voice sing pass me not or let me rest will driving threw the mountains just sends chills up my spine he put everything he had into a song

  • Thank you for sharing!

  • The Stanley Brothers were 2 of the very best. Sure miss Carter, but glad Ralph is still with us. 5 stars. God bless you.

  • Carter, Ralph and George Shuffler were the greatest TRIO IMO in Bluegrass...

  • Wow,a hymn that was sang just like they used to in church, back when a church was actually a church.Bet that song hasnt scrolled across a screen for a congregation to read and sing along with. Its actually in the hymnal thats stored in most church basements if they even have them at all.Keep up the good post Jefferyb304..

  • @whocouldvethunkit Not all churches are like that..with the screen or whatever you're talkin about. I've never been to one that was.

  • Hey daddy you hear this song?I'm sure you can enjoy it more in heaven than you could here even!!They sure could sing good.

  • Carter's voice captured the essence of all those who have came and gone in the hills of the south. His voice was beautiful and timeless as is Ralph's. Rest in Peace Carter.

  • Mes1947

This is a beautiful song I love to hear the Stanely Brothers. Singing don't hardly come any better than this.

  • This should be everyones prayer. There are many lost love ones that we need to continually pray for. Great Song.

  • agreed !!!

  • I like your statement, but I don't like the word lost. I'll agree to missed. =)

  • I think flatpicker1234 was referring to love ones that are not saved, as in not given their heart to Jesus. Am I correct ?
