i like street fighter but i would go with blazblue than street fighter. plus i only played a few games of the street fighter series and like it and the anime movies and all but. blazblue has a good theme to it that i would explain. just send a message to me about that if u want to have a discussion about that.
Without Street Fighter, there would be no modern 2d fighters (or they wouldn;t be nearly as good anyway). Point being, if you are a fan of fighting games rather than another weeaboo animetard, you will appreciate Street Fighter for the gem it is. Capcom have spent years refining their fighting game engine to be as good as it can be and listening to the fans to make it as balanced as possible. For Me I used to be extremely opposed to fighting games until I played BlazBlue. The game is very different from other fighters. It's core combat system was very well made and the graphics are very visually engaging. (Ex: Distortion finish, DDrive ect.) Call my Biased but BB is the onl fighter I have ever liked and I'll continue to play it for years to come

I think Guilty Gear XX got the balance just about right - it was enough of a story to keep you interested, but short enough to stop you getting bored. BlazBlue just simply had too much story for a fighting game, and it got boring fast.
@billyballzo1ojr Also, the animated street fighter series are brilliant, give it a try. The animated movie based on the SF2 storyline is great, and the alpha series isn't exactly terrible either. Juri also got her own OVA, and whilst i personally don;t like the character I have to say the OVA was entertaining.

I think they are both equally good and both equally BULLSHIT. They both have parts that I enjoy, however they both feel like I'm playing ridiculous unfair fighter with certain characters in both games, both have the large grab character which is just really fucking annoying, and they both have hitboxes that shift ever so slightly with certain attacks making the character unhittable, so to summarise, I love to hate both of you <3!!

I personally liked both games and I played SF from the beginning to the end. Perosnally im going to have to go with blazblue. It's something new and expands the creativity in gaming. Instead of continuing the story of SF for 20 years... Atleast BB actually expanded itself from GG instead of continuing the same concept for alpha to the omega. If you want something and want to expand your gaming then get Blazblue. SF is just getting old.
I've played both games but I know which one I prefer. SF4 is definitely a solid game but I don't love it as much as BBCT. You're comparing a good game to a work of art. Sorry SF4 fans.
Street Fighter in my opinion. Most people who pick Blaze will only pick it for the anime style. In my opinion Blaze destroy SF in terms of story but the overall gameplay is broken for Blaze. Just look online everyone is Ragna, Jin, Noel or Trinity.

No they do not. Both of them are good at corner pressure, but their combos function in a different way. Rachel is better at set up projectile and pressure, also she's good at a keep-away style of play, however Rachel's melee is weak and most of her combo doesn't do much damage. Jin is a well balance character like Ryu and Ken, who's good at everything but not expert, Jin's corner set up is simpler than Rachel's.
I think spammers in every game are annoying, however I find SF spammer are easier to deal with, because they only spam hadoken. SF is basically about mind games, a lot of times you need to guess or predict your opponent's next move. If you have enough experience to figure out a pattern of every character's play style and strategies then you can win a game.

Anyway, I've played both and SF isn't my favorite fighter (Super Smash Bros. is) but I can say that SF takes way more skill. You don't have to have any knowledge in Fighters and you can go pro in BB in a couple of days.
And that's your opinion, for me Guilty Gear, Tekken and Virtual Fighter is the hardest fighting game I've ever played. I do agree Blazblue is fairly easy compares to these three, but it's not easier than SF. The SF series is always the easiest, the game's pace is slow, the moves are predictable, there are few similar moves and clone characters, the play style is basically very defensive compares to Dark Stalker, Guilty Gear, MvC, Super Smash Brothers, Blazblue......etc.
@Insomnia1234o00o there are probably three clones of Ryu. (Gouken, Sakura, Dan, and Oni aren't clones) Some of the characters aren't predictable either. Good Seth, Viper, Rufus, Blanka, Guy and Ibuki players are annoying to play against. Not all the SFs were slow, just 4. I honestly think either Smash Bros and MvC are the easiest...especially Brawl and 3.

Tried super street fighter 4. It's not bad. Had fun on the Arcade mode with Akuma. But when I got to Zangief it began sucking. Wanna know why? All Zangief does is grab you again and again taking massess of health each time. Sometimes he does it right when you get up which is dumb as shit. Plus the BB cast is varied and has a better story. The commands are understandable on BB unlike street fighter as well.
@karatekaze Dude both games have the exact command input. And if Zangief keeps grabbing you, you run away or dragon punch him. Hell even teleport if you are akuma.
If anybody wants to know... a Guilty Gear Vs. Capcom game was in the making....It was first announced in 2003 at the 41st Amusement Machine Show....Called "Sammy Vs. Capcom" Sadly and obviously nothing came out of it. So it up to you internet.

I like them both, but Blazblue has better characters, better story and no two characters have the same moves really. Street Fighter had moves that could be used by around 5-7 characters, plus matches end pretty fast most of the time due to how quickly the health bars gets drained...

I personally liked both games and I played SF from the beginning to the end. Perosnally im going to have to go with blazblue. It's something new and expands the creativity in gaming. Instead of continuing the story of SF for 20 years... Atleast BB actually expanded itself from GG instead of continuing the same concept for alpha to the omega. If you want something and want to expand your gaming then get Blazblue. SF is just getting old.

Street Fighter in my opinion. Most people who pick Blaze will only pick it for the anime style. In my opinion Blaze destroy SF in terms of story but the overall gameplay is broken for Blaze. Just look online everyone is Ragna, Jin, Noel or Trinity.

No they do not. Both of them are good at corner pressure, but their combos function in a different way. Rachel is better at set up projectile and pressure, also she's good at a keep-away style of play, however Rachel's melee is weak and most of her combo doesn't do much damage. Jin is a well balance character like Ryu and Ken, who's good at everything but not expert, Jin's corner set up is simpler than Rachel's.

I think spammers in every game are annoying, however I find SF spammer are easier to deal with, because they only spam hadoken. SF is basically about mind games, a lot of times you need to guess or predict your opponent's next move. If you have enough experience to figure out a pattern of every character's play style and strategies then you can win a game.

Anyway, I've played both and SF isn't my favorite fighter (Super Smash Bros. is) but I can say that SF takes way more skill. And that's your opinion, for me Guilty Gear, Tekken and Virtual Fighter is the hardest fighting game I've ever played. I do agree Blazblue is fairly easy compares to these three, but it's not easier than SF. The SF series is always the easiest, the game's pace is slow, the moves are predictable, there are few similar moves and clone characters, the play style is basically very defensive compares to Dark Stalker, Guilty Gear, MvC, Super Smash Brothers, Blazblue......etc.

@Insomnia1234o00o there are probably three clones of Ryu. (Gouken, Sakura, Dan, and Oni aren't clones) Some of the characters aren't predictable either. Good Seth, Viper, Rufus, Blanka, Guy and Ibuki players are annoying to play against. Not all the SFs were slow, just 4. I honestly think either Smash Bros and MvC are the easiest...especially Brawl and 3.

@00half Far from it but I don't really want to explain it again. I also object to 2D beating 3D any day too. But that is your take, and that is fine. I think they are both a great medium for expression. Also random, but I can't wait for BBCSE, Skullgirls(another 2D fighter with hand drawn 2D sprites), and SFXTK next year. Can't wait for KOF13 this year too. Probably gonna buy UMVC3 even if Capcom kinda duped me with the first, but I do so as a collector.

Tried super street fighter 4. It's not bad. Had fun on the Arcade mode with Akuma. But when I got to Zangief it began sucking. Wanna know why? All Zangief does is grab you again and again taking massess of health each time. Sometimes he does it right when you get up which is dumb as shit. Plus the BB cast is varied and has a better story. The commands are understandable on BB unlike street fighter as well.

oh and one more fact street fighter IV is like 20 years old, its huge amont of time and over the years it became the classic franchise that everyone knows, thats why its so popular. capcom keeps releasing the same game with slight improvements to graphics(well number IV was a big improvement to graphics) and tiny balance changes. on the other hand blazblue is around for like 3 years(not sure??) and it managed to get HUGE attention from F-games scene.
