What was the deal with the first season finale? When it aired on television wasn't it a cliffhanger? It showed Sammon dropping from a helicopter. When the 2nd season resumed, it was a brand new adventure with a new cast and no mention of Sammon surviving the fall. I heard that was an editing mistake or a conscious decision to break away from the first season.

New producers took over and pretended season one didn't happen and rebooted the plot and characters, sammo suddenly became a stranger to america, tarrell took most of the screentime.

Sammos love interest was annoying and stupid, the old captain and louis character left.

It tried to be rush hour and the show ultimately got cancelled for making a bad decision, sammo wanted to train luis and keep him on, producers didn't want it and got rid of him for more tarrell screen time.
