  • nice project - where did you get that killer oscilloscope , very nice and old school

  • Lol... what you call old school I call a piece of junk ^_^ I like the old ones too, but I really need a "new" old one!

  • since you do such great work , and help people understand bedini circuits you should put your paypal info up for people to donate to your cause.

  • hmmm... tempting. especially in the "current economic climate" but I don't want to give the impression that I am in this for the money so I'll just battle on for the time being ^_^ though thanks for the suggestion!

  • hey man, thx for all the documentation. now im building my own and i hope im gonna be done within 2 weeks. your help was priceless - when i finished my generator im gonna share all my information too. my personal purpose is to build a 0.5 kW bedini after the test model. what do you think about that? is it possible? regards: rasta

  • Nice projekt,good work..5 stars:-)

  • Excellent!

  • Why are tachometers always SO HUGE?? They're mostly a big empty shell with some tiny circuits, batteries and a emitter/sensor chamber, that's it!

  • Awesome work there. I am looking forward to seeing progress. Peace Rawbush

  • do you make the part necessary or take it to an engineer with specifications you want (e.g. size, shape, material).

    p.s. thanks for the link.

  • I had all the acrylic made by a plastics fabricator. a bit pricey but it is worth it for the precision. I made the coils and circuit fro scratch.

  • fast motor, im no profesional, but the problem i see, is the magnets are only supplying a pulse to get it to the next pulse. in other words while thepulse isnt on, you can generate, cause there nothing suppling that movement.. and thats a beautiful thing with bemf and all, but the magnets are not doing work in a setup like this.... i made a motor that takes a single pulse to turn a rpm....but it can do work beacuse the type magnet setup that drives the motor after that single pulse

  • what im saying is you got really neat and profesional work, 2 minute rundown time... thats a stable unit, but dont you think in the back of your head that magnets can sustain a movemet, with the rite configurations you can a magnet it roll uphill, and to me thats work, and work cam be conveted into wattage, i want to post a video just to show.

  • I think I see what you're saying, and I'm familiar with the magnet configuration you've used i your video, though when no power is being supplied to the motor (in my set up) the magnets are being attracted to the cores of the stator coils so you could say the magnets are still performing work when no power is being supplied.

  • "freewheel" that is what i am looking at is the wined down time, so i can see how long it takes for the power to drain, after the run battery is unplugged! if i can get the flywheel action generating above the 12 or 9 volts then as soon as i unplug the run battery i can loop the generator back in the run side! is this what you are trying to do on your set up?

  • Not exactly. It is important that this set up can freewheel for a long time since it shows that very little mechanical energy is being wasted. First I am just going for a standard motor generator configuration where the generator will take power out while no power is being applied to the motor like in the watson machine, though the final design will use an scr triggered by 10 neons in series.

    cont....

  • all the generator coils will be wired in series. I estimate that the peak voltage they will generate will be between 800 - 1000 volts unloaded. The generator will be attached to a separate bank of batteries.

As the magnets approach the generator coils the scr will block current until the voltage has reached its peak. Then the neons will light and trigger the scr. This will generate a high voltage spike, then the voltage will immediately drop off and the current will follow...

    cont...

  • I believe this will help push the current out of phase so that the generator coils will continue to generate current in the same direction after the magnets have passed TDC on the generator coils and so reduce the drag from the generator.

I also believe the high voltage spike will have the same properties as the transient spike generated by the motor section.

I could theoretically use the generator to charge the primary battery, but most people have found this is not good for the battery.

  • nice...

It would be interesting to compair everyones Watts per RPM to see who's is more efficient...

I'm waiting to see your generator side...

  • speed and efficiency don't necessarily go hand in hand. The main reason I can get such high speeds is because it has very low friction. If I took the power off then it will freewheel for over 2 minutes and that is without an additional flywheel.

The generator will decide how efficient it is ; ) though it will take a while to finish it... Really I need to get another 5 magnet rotor made and I could do with a high voltage scr as well as some more magnet wire...

  • I've seen your recent project by the way ^_^ very ambitious! I hope it goes well for you!

  • It's interesting that using a single switch works better then multiple switches. I would certainly think you could quadruple the speed. Have you done any charging tests yet?

    Nice work...

  • not yet... I am concentrating on the mechanical with this set up but once I have a design finalized then I'll start doing some load tests. Don't have any conditioned batteries at the moment so the charging won't be great anyway.

  • Very Nice setup Sephiroth.

    WOW That thing is fast..
