Wow, the right wing scream machine is at even when Kucinich is out. Knocking the little guy while he is down. Does that make you feel good qthematrix? Spitting on a guy who has not sold out? Do you even know what a B.S. is? It means she has a bachelors degree in science.I don 't even know why Im wasting my time trying to reason with you seeing as you seem oblivious to logic.
Second, They hand ot Masters Degrees in the UK like hot dogs on a NY city street. It's the running joke of the world.
Now go back to dreaming about this looney tune idiot who is about to lose his trophy bride to Viggo. That was HIS plan for getting involved in a losing candidate.
by the way im a memeber of 1199 and im am pissed to shit that they r backing a cfr piece of shit like clinton(that goes for obama and edwards 2) i didnt vote to back her and there better not be one DIME coming out of my dues to pay for her continued INVASION on the world, hitlers reborn in all of these people look up cfr and learn!!!!!!!

Dennis Kucinich doesn't understand the concept of immigration. We have NEEDED doctors that specialize in their field WAITING to come to the US the LEGAL way and yet he wants every 3rd grade educated convict from Central America to walk right up. It is a slap in the face to the people doing the RIGHT thing. He is a LOONEY and FRODO IS A NO GO. Feel good BS from DK and his Dreamer wife.
Move On! Vote for a real change in America: vote for morality, honesty, peace and prosperity for all; not just the liars in the oil and war machine industry!
Kucinich IS so incredibly ELECTABLE! he's got my vote. if you will vote for a man who is honest, intelligent and wants to serve the people - we can have a President who will make us all proud and get the world to respect America again!
This fool doesn't understand the concept of immigration.
Well tweetisweeti90, maybe we should have left Saddam in charge since he was such a warm & friendly dictator. How many million of innocent Iraqis did he kill? Gassing innocent Kurds--his murderous sons killing & torturing at will--a real piece of work. Idiots like you are either a radical Islam "martyr" wannabe or a left wing-nut liberal--which is it??
So what research are you referring to eenkmouse2311?? Listening to Tokyo Rosie babbling about the government instigating 9/11 so we could wage war for oil? There is a difference between studying history (which I do) & listening to radical left wing conspiracy theories cooked up by flag-burning liberal kooks! Bush may be an idiot, but he didn't instigate 9/11 (besides, how could he be smart enough to pull THAT off??!)
Everyone knows you are pretending to be from the US but that's ok. Dennis comes from a family of mental illness and so do many of his "followers" He is out of it already.
Sorry all you Elizabeth fans.. You wanted her in the White House more than the Hobbit.
Great Video ,Let illegal terrorist vote, get drivers lic. They sold us out to Communist China , see Video,,,, Bill & Hillary Clinton: Their Secret Life - #11 of 12
Radical Islam is no different than radical Christians?? What planet to you live on Dennyc52? Do you know many Christians who practice Jihad, believe that 50 virgins await them in paradise if they blow themselves up in order to kill Americans and become a "martyr"? 9/11 government conspiracy theories spit in the face for the innocent victims who lost their lives that day. Shame on you!!!
people like YOU,who scorn the truth and protect the perpeTRAITORS of 9/11,are the ones spitting in the face of the victim's memories...do a little research before you criticize others
The ignorance of that first statement is astounding . How many millions of innocent Iraqis murdered, who had nothing to do with 9/11 does your idea of Christian morality sustain? Conspiracy Theory , is by definition, 19 arab highjackers , never proven by the way.
Yes, during the Crusades launched by Pope Urban II attacked and terrorized the muslims to conquer the "holy land." The warriors were told if they died in battle they would go to heaven. So learn some history
The CIA recruited "Radical Islam" look-a-likes to fly the planes into the World Trade Center? Why don't you tell this tale to the families of the victims of 9/11. This is an insult to the memories of those murdered that day! You probably believe that Osama is a misunderstood "freedom fighter" and that "Radical Islam" is a fantasy created by us "War-Hawk" Republicans!
The families of many of the 9-11 victims have been silenced by the media who refuse to show the truth from the mouths of the families. Look how long it took for us to hear the complaints of the firefighters and how they were treated. We only get the news they choose to tell us and that is not controversial. Your comment is a typical wingnut response condoning king george's crimes against
humanity. As for radical islam it is no different than the radical chirstians we have here.
We are not the world's policeman. We have no fucking right to tell any other nation what weapons they can or cannot have, who to pray to, what form of government to have, or what economic model they choose. Fuck you war mongering Republicans. Your the real enemies of this country and it's Constitution and you should be treated as such. No one is listening to your bullshit, and your candidates and worldview are a sad joke. I'm sending MoveOn some more money today.
I like Kucinich. I don't think in this clip he is being realistic about the withdrawal from Iraq. He expects to pull out and leave the UN to go in? The UN is not a country with it's own troops, but troops made up from other sovereign countries. These countries DO NOT want to go into Iraq, a mess that the Bush Administration (foreigners read: America) created. Then Kucinich dodges the question about Humanitarian aid to the Iraqi people.
The answer he failed to say is: if we pull our troops out, we won't be able to maintain security at a level where we can build hospitals and infrastructure... we will have to throw the Iraqi people to the wolves (Shiites, Suunies, Turkey, Iran, Syria). Kucinich is 100% correct that the Bush Administration lied to get us into this illegal war. But we cannot simply pretend that once Bush is gone that his mess is no longer our problem.
People forget just how brutal Sadaam was to his people. He and his sons were similar to Hitler for being mass murderers -just on a smaller scale. Radical Islam has declared war on us and will continue to try and destroy us- especially if we quit and go home.Treating terrorists like ordinary criminals-giving them their "day in court" is foolish. They should be treated like a spy in W.W.2---lined up and shot-they declared war on us and we are only returning the favor.
You're the perfect example of how the propaganda has corrupted people's minds.
TV idiot.
If you talk about 9/11 you're still a TV idiot.
9/11 and 1993 WTC bombing all done by the same people, CIA.
Dennis Kucinich is the only hope we have.
Everyone else is bought by the same people that brought you 9/11.
We need to take our country back by whatever means necessary. The only ones winning right now are the bankers and the corporations, they need to be stopped before it's too late.
All of those who love Dennis and his plan stand up and believe that he can win because he can if we support him! We are the true majority we are the working men and women of the US!
How many of the Democratic candidates are willing to appoint and support Ralph Nader as Attorney General of the United States?
We would be guaranteed a full investigation into Iraq, Halliburton, wiretapping, healthcare/banking industries, and the current mess in the Justice Dept under Gonzales.
There is something ... it's called `arguement'. It goes like this: You say something then you must say something to back it up with some reasoning. You say `He is the wrong person'. Ok now you have to provide some reasoning for it. Hint: A lot of it. See how it works? Brilliant.
From Wikipedia: "In 1998 the council honored him (Kucinich) for having the 'courage and foresight' to stand up to the banks and saving the city an estimated $195 million between 1985 and 1995."
destroyed? i think not! after the muny fiasco was over and time passed, cleveland citizens got lower power bills because dennis faught for the people and against big businesses trying to get monopolies. the people respect him for that and so do I!
the most spiritual and wise candidate running. he is ignored or ridiculed by the establishment media but he is the only one making real thoughtful proposals from
getting out of the fiasco in iraq to real health care and a department of peace. He is the only candidate to
vote against the war and the partiot act. He is way
Dennis never wavers from his beliefs. He did an analysis that he shared with all members of Congress before they voted to go to war, and everything he said would happen has. Dennis never misses votes in Congress because he cares about his job, and he actually reads what he is voting for. If you learn more about Dennis, I think you'll like him more. He's got more balls than anyone in Congress. He doesn't say what he thinks will get him votes, he says how he really feels.
I heard on MSNBC that MOVEON was telling the US Military to give the 42 captured prisoners of Al Qaeda back to Al Qaeda, since the surge is illegal, in MOVEON and Amnesty Internatinals opinion. That is outrageous!
And I love Mike Gravel, but he himself has said he's not really running, he just wants to bring up the issues that need to be brought up. I'd vote for him too- I think he's great.
I was referring to the other Democratic candidates. John Edwards voted for the war, and to fund it many times. I want a President that wasn't fooled by Bush, and had the foresight to know that nothing good could come from invading a country that didn't attack us. I'd vote for Ron Paul in a heartbeat though I've never voted for a Republican in my life.
What did the ruling class do to the Indians? Got them to depend on guns, whiskey and junk. The Indians were forced to come to the ruling class for replenishments. Now herd the "savages" into reservations. Look around yourself, look familiar? It's too late to live on your own and farm, the ruling class won't allow it.
Corporate America has herded us into cities and suburbs. They have kept us close to their kingdoms so there is a steady supply of slaves that have to work for less and less just to keep food on the table. Ya, the republicans are great. The democrats are great. They do exactly what their corporate bosses tell them to do. Dennis won't. Dennis hasn't. I hope.
Neither party has been good for we the people. There have been people with in each party that if the rest followed their example we would be a strong proud nation. To those who stump for any party how are your neighbors doing? Kids go to bed hungry? Mom and dad lose their pensions at 65 and are now working at a $6 an hour job with no benefits?
Ha, how do you figure troops dieing in Iraq is giving us freedom? Crushing the 'world wide jihad' has nothing to do with Iraq, the terrorists are mainly based in Pakistan and Afganistan. Comparing this to WW2 is just pathetic, you're making republicans look so stupid I wonder if you're really a demodog, most republicans with a half a brain are even distancing themselves from Bush.
Dennis Kucinich is the only candidate that will change anything. The rest aren't much better than Bush as far as corporate whoredom and war crimes go.
Here's what i hear from some iraqis: "america got rid of one corrupt leader and installed 40 corrupt leaders". over 60% think its ok to kill americans. over 70% want us out. over 65% think they will be safer when American leaves! And that is where the arguement for staying ends.
ok so the fact that HOW MANY people have died, needlessly, by our own hand? How many children have no parents? How many families have been ripped apart? How many young men and women have been tortured so we can say we won a war? Yeah that's a lot better. uh-huh
the fact that people like me and you have our say doesn't make it a democracy. we can say whatever the fuck we want to say but when the government chooses to plug it's ears and turns the other way means its not.
Do you listen to yourself? THERE IS NO WAR TO WIN! This isn't a win/lose war anymore!do you have to much shit in your eyes from kissing Bush's ass to see that?We are stuck in the middle of a fuckin civil war! That's why so many of our troops die over there! Cause THEY WANT US OUT! We went over there based on a LIE, stay there based on a LIE, to win a war that is unwinnable. That's not being a defeatist that's being a realist.
america is already in the ground thanks to your God-- (shouldn't be)President Bush! We need Kucinich. We need a president who doesn't lie to us for his own fucked up reasons. AND we need a president with more than a 4th grade reading level. Not to mention a president who will actually listen to the people and bring back democracy for America. None of these are Bush you drone.
wow, congratulations that is quite possibly thee most messed up thing i have ever heard! Iraq was a lot happier with Hussein than with us. they'd rather've not had us there to begin with. We are only making things worse. And a TRUE democracy?!?!? Are you serious? Where? If we were a true democracy, we wouldn't still be in Iraq, and our "President" would clean the crap out of his ears and listen to the people.
I thought we already were in the ground! thanks to your God -- (shouldn't be)President Bush. I think Kucinich could only bring this country up and in the right direction for a change. Can't screw it up any worse than you republicans that's for sure.
brainwashed much? you sound like a drone..blah blah war on terror no matter how many innocent lices it takes blah blah. So it'd be ok if you were Iraqi and your daughter got slaughtered by our troops even though your country was invaded for a lie? Yeah ok. shut up.
What happens when Iraqi's vote to nationalize their oil supply and deny American military bases on Iraqi soil. O yeah! Ever heard of Nicaragua? Or what about Guatemala? Those were both democracies overthrown by US backed coups...I forgot about Iran! US and Britain overthrew their elected leader. Furthermore...
Republicanism is classical liberalism. Wilhelm Von Humboldt wrote about it extensivly in Limits of State Action, Ideas on Constitutional Statehood (early during the French Revolution), etc. Mr. Republican, Your views on assimilation are what cause the greatest rift in this country. Anglo-saxon dominance on social form or any other construct for that matter is anti-American. You Mr. "Republican" would have been given a wedgie by Thomas Paine. Moreover...
No, Ron Paul or Mike Gravel is the answer. Those are the only 2 non-establishment candidates. You know, the only 2 not taking corporate money and in return selling legislation.
America got out the Iraqi dictator. America should get out the American dictator as well. America will not leave Iraq until it is stable enough to participate in free trade of oil for textiles, lumber, and crappy clothes from Wal-Mart or should I say Vietnam. Also, NATIVE americans have been fighting the war on terror since 1492.
Iraq has nothing to do witht the fuckin war on terror. It was an imperialist war- there was no terrorist problem before we destroyed the country. And the war on terror is a meaningless phrase. There is no such thing as winning the war on terror- it means "war today, tmrw., forever!"
brainwashed much? you sound like a drone..blah blah war on terror no matter how many innocent lives it takes blah blah. So it'd be ok if you were Iraqi and your daughter got slaughtered by our troops even though your country was invaded for a lie? Yeah ok. shut up.
Hey people if your not saitisfied with the candidates, its probably because you havent checked all of them. There is a candidate who is an expert on the constitution and consistantly votes against anything that violates it his name is ronpaul2008.*com. Do america a favor at least check him out his record supports his opinion if nothing else he votes with his conscience.
kucinech? the guy who thinks we should destroy our nuclear weapons? By reinstating the constitution we could go back to a time when we could go forward. Paul is not against amendments as long as they are done the right way. There is no back pedaling involved in reinstating the constitution why would you think this? Our country needs paul and only paul. kucinech is a puppet, they are all puppets paul is the only candidate.
**** God Bless America. Let us pray for the city of Los Angeles and the U.S. citizens who have to deal with all the illegal immigrants trying to ruin there home & city. Lastly, I pray for a President who will aggressively deport every last one of YOU law breakers....and dont make no mistake about it, illegally entering our country is AGAINST THE LAW.
BTW, the Adam Smith version to the extreme works about as well as a dogmatic version of Leninist command economy. That's why we don't have it. The only countries who do are in the developing world, like Indonesia or El Salvador.
Yes. I a good book to check out is Michael Parenti's Blackshirts and Reds, which is half-critical and half-receptive of the Soviet System. I should say he uses a Marxist methodology, but he comes up with ways that the Soviets could have improved their system without it falling apart as soon as political democracy emerged.
When you take away real democracy from socialism it turns into hell. The command economy works for some sectors, but I am more pragmatic thinking that private, regulated enterprises should be part of a socialist economy. However, I think the major part of the economy should run in the public sector, under democratic control with incentives for employees to produce and for managers to adopt technology. It's kind of like public sector capitalism.
Europe had a private regulated economy experiment 70 years ago. Uh, 50 mllion dead followed. Fascists allow private enterprise but the state controls who and how. You my friend are a fascist...and if you embrace New Age religion...a NAZI. Hitler and the SS were New Agers.
I will tell you that I am not a fascist. Check out my channel. Have you read Blackshirts and Reds by Michael Parenti? I'm a red, not a blackshirt. Fascism is good for the industrialists who promoted it over the growing socialist parties in Germany and Italy at the time. I'm anti-New Age too.
I'm talking about a practical version of socialism that learns from the failures and sucesses of the previous experiments in socialism (including the Spanish Republic and the Soviet Union).
That's a pretty broad and long-discredited claim you're making about Nazi and SS being "New Age". This is hardly the forum for debating the validity of your preposterous claim but I couldn't let it stand unchallenged here. "New Age" is a catch-all phrase that encompasses myriad combinations and permutations of beliefs. Check out the Wikipedia entry which, while inaccurate in some ways, at least attempts an objective and comprehensive review.
I'm for a socialism that DOES offer incentives to produce-- that's what was wrong with Soviet system (well one of three things). The other two are lack of political democracy and civil rights (well, enforced civil rights). The other one was allowing the bureaucrats to have too much power. How do you offer incentives to produce under socialism? The same way you do it in capitalism.
Well. That's your opinion. I'm a leftist, actually a socialist leaning person. Now, this isn't Russia, is it? I can say that I'm not a nice, tame liberal who will let the far right attack us and coopt us. And if you want to drag the Soviet Union into this, that's not even what I'm talking about. This is an old right-wing extremist tactic, at least in the US.
I don't know if this is the greatest country. We're well behind all the other countries like us in many things. Russia's a bad comparison because it's a developing country, and it's always been.
what ever happened to political freedom... not like the California recall election... but Kucinich is one not for dems or republicons but for the future of the US.
Please go to MSNBC and vote for Kucinich. He needs support in the poles to be heard by more people. The issue of impeachment is important because we need to establish a precedent against constitutional abuse by the executive branch.
It was as usual - no coverage of Kucinich responses by ABC news tonight on the debates. Sometimes I think this world is beyond hope to recognize a truly empathetic person who has the best interests of all humanity in his heart and hopes to address all inequities. Are there just not enough of us who have higher standards for human behavior?
gun control. tough issue. on one side, the second amendment. i'm all for shooting agents of tyranny. on the other hand we've got a nation armed to the teeth and more gun violence than any nation not currently in a civil war. so how do you reconcile the two? and is gun control really the most important issue?
Kucinich in the next dictator of the US, just checkout his impresive views on gun control. He will probibly use the verginia tech shootings as a spring board to rid us of our best defence... a hand gun.
I was in full support of Kucinich until I heard about his plan for banning handguns. While I recognize that there is a need for banning handguns, it is a Constitutional right of the people, and there's no way that bill will pass. He has not announced this as a platform for his presidency.
If i lived in the US, I would vote for Dennis Kucinich, no question. He has a real progressive vision for true peace, social justice and also considers non humans which is a first. That says something very important about him. He has real compassion, which is greatly lacking today and he is also is not afraid of being unpopular for his ethical stance. Others only wish to have a backbone like he has. Kucinich 2008
I'm voting for Kucinich. Why in the heck do people need handguns? To shoot the neighbors? Or how Homer Simpson used it-- to get balls off the roof or open beer cans?
Card carrying member of the NEW WORLD ORDER. DK is proposing legilation to ban all guns, after the VT goverrnment sponsored Mk Ultra mind control BlackOps/PsyOps student massacre. Problem-Second Amendment. Reaction-another(!) false flag mass murder(ie: 911) Solution-Kucinich and his TRAITOROUS legislation. This communist/socialist slimeball is an enemy of the bill of rights and the constitution.
A few observations: 1. Kucinich is a joke and WILL not win the primary, won't even get 1% of the vote. 2. Marxism failed, Socialism is failing. 3. George bush is one of he greatest presidents ever 4. and you parents are going to raise the rent on so you better figure out how you'r going to take yor 2.0 GPA and get a full time job, and still have time to burn US soldiers in effigy
How is Kucinich a joke? He is the best presidential candiate. He has been in politics for 40 years. He understands what it is like to live in poverty. Kucinich also supports great things such as universal healthcare. Why don't you do some research before you judge him. George Bush has done a great job?????
interesting observations....perhaps you are lulled to sleep by the media/polling/popularity contest. I suggest you try a little clear thinking, and then you will find that there are more than one way to make an election shift..don't think too hard on this..
Marxism is just a methodology. It's not a political system. Siege Socialism (what the "Communist" countries in Eastern Europe had) failed, but doesn't mean shit about socialism. Bush is cruel, ruthless man, who would love to be the next Hitler if he got a chance. I have a 3.9 GPA from a liberal arts college, BA summa cum laude in Political Science.
Okay 3.9, let's assume the GPA is based on intelligence and hard work, so when someone smart likens a sitting US President to Hitler is this 1. reckless and irresponsible cheapening WW2 and the Holocaust 2. Show no regard for historical facts. 3. Elevate the conversation to an intellectual rather visceral one? You don't think Socialism is failing pay attention to the elections in France coming up
That's not even socialism -- Royal is supporting social democracy. Okay, google rational fascism an Michael Parenti. Hitler came to power by scaring the hell out of Germans about external threats. He worked for big business, cutting wages and labor laws. No conservative ever goes into ad hominem attacks? If you don't know the history of Germany from which I have done extensive research, then don't try to act like I don't know what I'm talking about. Note my user name: It's not Jones or Smith.
you seem like a thoughtful kid, so I appreciate your candor when referring to your Hitler comment as ad hominem - can you mention this to your friends at "Move On" who have labled most conservatives as Nazi's - disgusting! Hitler worked for business, or business worked for him? (hint: national SOCIALISM). Please list all of the Socialist countries that have more robust economies than the US? Please include standard of living relative to real income
None, because they are all third world countries at the before. Russia and Yugoslavia were better off under socialism than they are now. Yeltsin destroyed Russia. Actually, real conservatives were against Hitler, like von Stauffenberg. In German, socialism doesn't mean what it means here. Socialism is used as a way to attract working class people to a party that cut their wages and their occupational safety, kind of like today's "Communist" China.
There is one exception to this, and that's East Germany. Although East Germany was always less developed than what we think of a Germany's industral core (the Ruhr, the Rhineland, and the North Sea Coasts). However, if you look at East Germany alone, it did develop more under socialism than all of those years producing "rye." West Germay is "iron"; East Germany is "rye." In the Industrial Revolution that's what they produced.
In the Night of the Long Knives, Hitler killed off all the socialistic elements in the Nazi Party, because the industrialists who were supporting him hated their socialistic tendencies. Ernst Roehm was the most famous of the victims of thate massacre. BTW, I'm not anti-conservative; I'm anti-neoconservate which is really a perverted form of Trotskyism/Bonapartism.
Roehm and the rest of the SA were not killed because they were socialists, rather I think it had more to do with their debauchery and sexual orientation, which Hitler saw as a risk to the party. Yeltsin ruined Russia? Russia was rotting internally starting with Lenin, accelerating under Stalin and succdessor (name? bay of pigs guy) Russia will be back under capitalism, too much natural reources and an educated population
Russia's moving towards socialism under Putin. The SA were attacked because of homosexuality, but they were also socialistic. After that, the Nazis were socialist in name only. Russia advanced until the end of the Khruschev Era, which accelerated under Brezhnev. Before that, the socialist policies had industrialized the country and brought them out of feudalism into a World Power. However, I blame their decay on a lack of democracy and fear of reform caused by a siege mentality.
After investigating all the candidates, I have found that Dennis Kucinich is the only one that is not afraid to take a bold stand on the issues. Dennis has the self confidence, determination, and persistence to stand his ground and lead with intelligent, perceptive determination. He is real, he is transparent - not a media creation. That is what we need today. A politician we can trust.
I wasn't really sure who I was going to back in this race, but now I am positive. Dennis Kucinich is the only candidate who can and will get us off this downward spiral. I'm excited to help him work for peace.
Kucinich is the only candidate who specifically pledges to end all US attempts to control events in Iraq, the Middle East and around the world. He is also the only one who puts his finger on US and Western attempts to enrich our business interests to the detriment of resource rich but less powerful countries. I would give him money and work for him if I thought he had any chance of winning.
I've listened to all the candidates and I can only with good conscience vote for one man and that is Dennis Kucinich. I will not vote for the lesser of two evils this time. It is either Dennis or I will go with the Green Party.

In recent years, I've watched with sadness and frustration the harm the U.S. President is capable of inflicting on the world & its people. I've imagined with longing the amazing good that could be done by someone who chose to use the power of the presidency for healing, peace & positive change. Kucinich seems to be a person willing and eager to work in this vein, guiding our country to use its influence for good and not for evil. I sincerely hope he, or someone like him, gets the opportunity.
After listening to all 7 candidates, Kucinich is BY FAR the best one. I agree with 100% of what he has to say. I'm absolutely smitten!!! Let's just hope that with a full 16 months until the DNC this guy gets the prominence he deserves.
Yes, he is, but he doesn't have the appeal to the span of voters necessary. He is VERY effective in the position he is in now...and necessary in the House.
It is only our own assumption that a person must possess an air of overbearing bluster in order to be taken seriously as a president or presidential candidate that makes it true. This has not always been the nation's assumption, and quieter, more reserved candidates have been successful in past elections, if not recently. Let's shift the qualities we consider important--compassion, diplomacy, responsibility, humility, rather than arrogance, aggressiveness, and competitiveness.
I agree there will be challenges bringing Kucinich to the Whitehouse, but it's a very worthwile challenge. He is simply the -only- candidate who has the record to back up his rhetoric. Make it happen America!
Ron Paul is anti-corruption and promises to re-instate the Constitution. He's the only candidate willing to admit and talk about the fact that Bush is doing so many unconstitutional things. He also votes across party lines as often as necessary. Why? Because his votes aren't bought like everyone else's!
But don't take my word for it -- find out more about Ron Paul and make an educated decision.
As far as I can tell, Dennis Kucinich and Al Gore are the only well-known Democrats who have publicly and loudly spoken against the war from the very beginning, and Gore isn't running.
I like Kucinich, but I don't see him winning. I'm afraid his emphasis on peace will be perceived as weakness. I don't happen to believe that it IS weakness, but there you go.
it would take a series of miracles for kucinich to get elected even if he does represent the majority of americans on most issues. all hail the one party system!
I have to say, I've been wrapt by Obama and Hillary until the Town Hall Meeting. They paled in comparison to Kucinich, and Edwards, I thought. I will now give greater focus and attention to what Kucinich has to say. He was impressive indeed. We need to get behind one candidate soon folks.
Reconstruction, reconciliation and, most importantly, reparation. Kucinich is the only candidate I've heard speak of the urgency of our nation's shameful debt to the people of Iraq and the region. His approach makes sense, both for shorter-term actions to get out of Iraq, and for longer-term efforts to really address basic grivances that fuel terrorism, and to take a leadership role in developing peaceful relationships in our ever more interconnected world. Clear & consistent.
I just contributed the $50. that if 999,000 people will do the same, Dennis will have the 50 million to give him the chance to compete against the moneyed competition. We can do it!!

Yes repeat this phrase..."get the world community involved" please dont throw your vote away people...and serious protest is needed...but if Kucinich could get elected I would start believing in god

We have NEEDED doctors that specialize in their field WAITING to come to the US the LEGAL way and yet he wants every 3rd grade educated convict from Central America to walk right up. Well tweetisweeti90, maybe we should have left Saddam in charge since he was such a warm & friendly dictator. How many million of innocent Iraqis did he kill? Gassing innocent Kurds--his murderous sons killing & torturing at will--a real piece of work. Idiots like you are either a radical Islam "martyr" wannabe or a left wing-nut liberal--which is it??
grifster3 4 years ago
So what research are you referring to eenkmouse2311?? Listening to Tokyo Rosie babbling about the government instigating 9/11 so we could wage war for oil? There is a difference between studying history (which I do) & listening to radical left wing conspiracy theories cooked up by flag-burning liberal kooks! Bush may be an idiot, but he didn't instigate 9/11 (besides, how could he be smart enough to pull THAT off??!)

The ignorance of that first statement is astounding . How many millions of innocent Iraqis murdered, who had nothing to do with 9/11 does your idea of Christian morality sustain? Conspiracy Theory , is by definition, 19 arab highjackers , never proven by the way.

The CIA recruited "Radical Islam" look-a-likes to fly the planes into the World Trade Center? Why don't you tell this tale to the families of the victims of 9/11. This is an insult to the memories of those murdered that day! You probably believe that Osama is a misunderstood "freedom fighter" and that "Radical Islam" is a fantasy created by us "War-Hawk" Republicans!
grifster3 4 years ago
The families of many of the 9-11 victims have been silenced by the media who refuse to show the truth from the mouths of the families. Look how long it took for us to hear the complaints of the firefighters and how they were treated. We only get the news they choose to tell us and that is not controversial. Your comment is a typical wingnut response condoning king george's crimes against
humanity. As for radical islam it is no different than the radical chirstians we have here.

NigamaX 4 years ago

Corporate America has herded us into cities and suburbs. Ha, how do you figure troops dieing in Iraq is giving us freedom? Crushing the 'world wide jihad' has nothing to do with Iraq, the terrorists are mainly based in Pakistan and Afganistan. Iraq has nothing to do witht the fuckin war on terror. It was an imperialist war- there was no terrorist problem before we destroyed the country. And the war on terror is a meaningless phrase. There is no such thing as winning the war on terror- it means "war today, tmrw., forever!"

BTW, the Adam Smith version to the extreme works about as well as a dogmatic version of Leninist command economy. That's why we don't have it. The only countries who do are in the developing world, like Indonesia or El Salvador.
westphalianprinz 4 years ago
Yes. I a good book to check out is Michael Parenti's Blackshirts and Reds, which is half-critical and half-receptive of the Soviet System. I should say he uses a Marxist methodology, but he comes up with ways that the Soviets could have improved their system without it falling apart as soon as political democracy emerged.
westphalianprinz 4 years ago
When you take away real democracy from socialism it turns into hell. The command economy works for some sectors, but I am more pragmatic thinking that private, regulated enterprises should be part of a socialist economy. However, I think the major part of the economy should run in the public sector, under democratic control with incentives for employees to produce and for managers to adopt technology. It's kind of like public sector capitalism.
westphalianprinz 4 years ago
Europe had a private regulated economy experiment 70 years ago. Uh, 50 mllion dead followed. Fascists allow private enterprise but the state controls who and how. You my friend are a fascist...and if you embrace New Age religion...a NAZI. Hitler and the SS were New Agers.
armourup 4 years ago
I will tell you that I am not a fascist. Check out my channel. Have you read Blackshirts and Reds by Michael Parenti? I'm a red, not a blackshirt. Fascism is good for the industrialists who promoted it over the growing socialist parties in Germany and Italy at the time. I'm anti-New Age too.
westphalianprinz 4 years ago
I'm talking about a practical version of socialism that learns from the failures and sucesses of the previous experiments in socialism (including the Spanish Republic and the Soviet Union).
westphalianprinz 4 years ago
That's a pretty broad and long-discredited claim you're making about Nazi and SS being "New Age". This is hardly the forum for debating the validity of your preposterous claim but I couldn't let it stand unchallenged here. "New Age" is a catch-all phrase that encompasses myriad combinations and permutations of beliefs. Check out the Wikipedia entry which, while inaccurate in some ways, at least attempts an objective and comprehensive review.
danmonterey 4 years ago
I'm for a socialism that DOES offer incentives to produce-- that's what was wrong with Soviet system (well one of three things). The other two are lack of political democracy and civil rights (well, enforced civil rights). The other one was allowing the bureaucrats to have too much power. How do you offer incentives to produce under socialism? The same way you do it in capitalism.
westphalianprinz 4 years ago
This is an old right-wing extremist tactic, at least in the US.
westphalianprinz 4 years ago

gun control. tough issue. on one side, the second amendment. i'm all for shooting agents of tyranny. on the other hand we've got a nation armed to the teeth and more gun violence than any nation not currently in a civil war. so how do you reconcile the two? and is gun control really the most important issue?

Kucinich in the next dictator of the US, just checkout his impresive views on gun control. He will probibly use the verginia tech shootings as a spring board to rid us of our best defence... a hand gun.

I was in full support of Kucinich until I heard about his plan for banning handguns. While I recognize that there is a need for banning handguns, it is a Constitutional right of the people, and there's no way that bill will pass. He has not announced this as a platform for his presidency.

Or how Homer Simpson used it-- to get balls off the roof or open beer cans?
westphalianprinz 4 years ago

3. George bush is one of he greatest presidents ever 4. and you parents are going to raise the rent on so you better figure out how you'r going to take yor 2.0 GPA and get a full time job, and still have time to burn US soldiers in effigy
mollkatles 4 years ago
How is Kucinich a joke? He is the best presidential candiate. He has been in politics for 40 years. He understands what it is like to live in poverty. Kucinich also supports great things such as universal healthcare. Why don't you do some research before you judge him. George Bush has done a great job?????

Nothing makes sense with mollikaties "observations" don't bother.
Grandmooma 4 years ago
interesting observations....perhaps you are lulled to sleep by the media/polling/popularity contest. I suggest you try a little clear thinking, and then you will find that there are more than one way to make an election shift..don't think too hard on this..
PN4PM 4 years ago
I'm not lulled and am not thiking too hard, so what do I do now?
Grandmooma 4 years ago
Marxism is just a methodology. It's not a political system. Siege Socialism (what the "Communist" countries in Eastern Europe had) failed, but doesn't mean shit about socialism. Bush is cruel, ruthless man, who would love to be the next Hitler if he got a chance. I have a 3.9 GPA from a liberal arts college, BA summa cum laude in Political Science.
westphalianprinz 4 years ago
Okay 3.9, let's assume the GPA is based on intelligence and hard work, so when someone smart likens a sitting US President to Hitler is this 1. reckless and irresponsible cheapening WW2 and the Holocaust 2. Show no regard for historical facts. 3. Elevate the conversation to an intellectual rather visceral one? You don't think Socialism is failing pay attention to the elections in France coming up
mollkatles 4 years ago
That's not even socialism -- Royal is supporting social democracy. Okay, google rational fascism an Michael Parenti. Hitler came to power by scaring the hell out of Germans about external threats. He worked for big business, cutting wages and labor laws. No conservative ever goes into ad hominem attacks? If you don't know the history of Germany from which I have done extensive research, then don't try to act like I don't know what I'm talking about. Note my user name: It's not Jones or Smith.
westphalianprinz 4 years ago
you seem like a thoughtful kid, so I appreciate your candor when referring to your Hitler comment as ad hominem - can you mention this to your friends at "Move On" who have labled most conservatives as Nazi's - disgusting! Hitler worked for business, or business worked for him? (hint: national SOCIALISM). Please list all of the Socialist countries that have more robust economies than the US? Please include standard of living relative to real income
mollkatles 4 years ago
None, because they are all third world countries at the before. Russia and Yugoslavia were better off under socialism than they are now. Yeltsin destroyed Russia. Actually, real conservatives were against Hitler, like von Stauffenberg. In German, socialism doesn't mean what it means here. Socialism is used as a way to attract working class people to a party that cut their wages and their occupational safety, kind of like today's "Communist" China.
westphalianprinz 4 years ago
There is one exception to this, and that's East Germany. Although East Germany was always less developed than what we think of a Germany's industral core (the Ruhr, the Rhineland, and the North Sea Coasts). However, if you look at East Germany alone, it did develop more under socialism than all of those years producing "rye." West Germay is "iron"; East Germany is "rye." In the Industrial Revolution that's what they produced.
westphalianprinz 4 years ago
In the Night of the Long Knives, Hitler killed off all the socialistic elements in the Nazi Party, because the industrialists who were supporting him hated their socialistic tendencies. Ernst Roehm was the most famous of the victims of thate massacre. BTW, I'm not anti-conservative; I'm anti-neoconservate which is really a perverted form of Trotskyism/Bonapartism.
westphalianprinz 4 years ago
Roehm and the rest of the SA were not killed because they were socialists, rather I think it had more to do with their debauchery and sexual orientation, which Hitler saw as a risk to the party. Yeltsin ruined Russia? Russia was rotting internally starting with Lenin, accelerating under Stalin and succdessor (name? bay of pigs guy) Russia will be back under capitalism, too much natural reources and an educated population
mollkatles 4 years ago

DornBear 4 years ago
Kucinich makes sense and he has real plans and historical integrity.
calistogababe 4 years ago
Kucinich makes so much sense. Any candidate I vote for cannot have voted to give Bush the authorization to wage this war.
gracebalch 4 years ago
Then you don't have another choice b/c there is no other candidate in this race who's done that, at least in the two largest parties.
breaks0 4 years ago
I wasn't really sure who I was going to back in this race, but now I am positive. Dennis Kucinich is the only candidate who can and will get us off this downward spiral. I'm excited to help him work for peace.
ronabrad 4 years ago

I sincerely hope he, or someone like him, gets the opportunity.
octoberfyre 4 years ago
After listening to all 7 candidates, Kucinich is BY FAR the best one. I agree with 100% of what he has to say. I'm absolutely smitten!!! Let's just hope that with a full 16 months until the DNC this guy gets the prominence he deserves.
ceruleanmist 4 years ago
Yes, he is, but he doesn't have the appeal to the span of voters necessary. He is VERY effective in the position he is in now...and necessary in the House.
Matisse7Maxim 4 years ago
DK has one of the broadest appeals to the New Americans, who are not jaded by the media madness.

Make it happen America!
sandaljian 4 years ago
Ron Paul is anti-corruption and promises to re-instate the Constitution. He's the only candidate willing to admit and talk about the fact that Bush is doing so many unconstitutional things. He also votes across party lines as often as necessary. Why? Because his votes aren't bought like everyone else's!
But don't take my word for it -- find out more about Ron Paul and make an educated decision.
elimisteve 4 years ago
As far as I can tell, Dennis Kucinich and Al Gore are the only well-known Democrats who have publicly and loudly spoken against the war from the very beginning, and Gore isn't running.
I like Kucinich, but I don't see him winning. I'm afraid his emphasis on peace will be perceived as weakness. I don't happen to believe that it IS weakness, but there you go.
I wouldn't mind being proven wrong on this.
SailorBarsoom 4 years ago
it would take a series of miracles for kucinich to get elected even if he does represent the majority of americans on most issues. all hail the one party system!
joebonk 4 years ago
I have to say, I've been wrapt by Obama and Hillary until the Town Hall Meeting. They paled in comparison to Kucinich, and Edwards, I thought. I will now give greater focus and attention to what Kucinich has to say. He was impressive indeed. We need to get behind one candidate soon folks.
edens6thday 4 years ago
Reconstruction, reconciliation and, most importantly, reparation. Kucinich is the only candidate I've heard speak of the urgency of our nation's shameful debt to the people of Iraq and the region. His approach makes sense, both for shorter-term actions to get out of Iraq, and for longer-term efforts to really address basic grivances that fuel terrorism, and to take a leadership role in developing peaceful relationships in our ever more interconnected world. Clear & consistent.
