@bigeyedwasianamy no they will always try to escape and they do not bite its best if you get 2 like always they are active at night and they are cheap too and they climb their cages and they are fast and agile so try not to hold it in your hand hope this helps

I've had one of these hamsters, I hamed him Pablo :)

Sadly, Pablo does not live anymore, due to a wheelcrash - hence it was going to fast, and he tried to stop. He got thrown out by the wheel (I had an exact version of a wheel that you do, and they're NOT safe!). The poor thing broke three of his tiny legs, and did not manage to survive ;/ He looked almost the same as your hamster. They're fast little boogers ^^

i had a robo.. i didnt have a wheel so i usually let it out in my room but i thought he should have some air.. so i brought him on our patio.

an enclosed patio..he ran around for quite some time.. but the dog was goin nuts chasin him through the window. so she made me take him in.. i was trying to catch him and he crawled through this hole.. and i thought if i try to get him he'll run out. so i went out front and went around and he was gone. the hole lead out to the outside world 3810-42910

We stapled it to a block of wood. We bent the staples around the metal stand so the hamster's paws wouldn't get caught and it won't hurt itself.
