  • maraming impormasyon akong nakukuha dahil sa videong ito.

  • Why is the 3 min Sociologist's video 4 and a 1/2 min long?

  • my professor tells me sociology is like a blind man in a black coal cave looking for a black cat and every now and then he yells, "I found it!".

  • @offroadranger4x4

If by this he/she means that society and human interaction are complex and humans have a difficult time handling this complexity, I tend to agree. That doesn't mean we should stop looking for the cat.

  • @s50147 interesting comment. I will let him know and see what he says. I must say, I do enjoy his class and his personal experiences in this field. Your videos do help me out and thus I do share this information with the class.

  • @offroadranger4x4

Where are you taking the course? I wish you well. In forty years of teaching and practicing sociology, I have always found it valuable in providing fundamental tools for problem solving and understanding some small part of society's complexities.

  • @s50147 I'm just taking a 1301 intro course as a core class for my AAS in Criminal Justice.

  • I took only 1 sociology course, then finnished collage [3/4 through] then TRAVELED to "the old country" INDI and without connections [4th generation +] but during and after this fateful visit [5 months 1999] I had epiphenies and began QUANTIFYING, when I returned [a little mentally overextended -summer in northern lattitudes, + California problems/injuries...] I bought a sociology "2" book , for the advanced/2nd class, and READ specific interest/relevance, quant LANGUAGE, and SOLO... dicoverd

  • Love this so much, I personally am a Sociologist working my way up to being a Professor at University. I find it has been so very beneficial in so many aspects of life and work equally. I'm just working on how we can integrate Sociology a little bit further into the working world. Like you said, it is such a big part of all these aspects, especially business. I'm writing a thesis on how one individual can achieve power through a group leaning on religion, terrorism and activism. Great stuff.

  • @Hellotherebordois awsome. Preaching to the preachers or rather to those with absobative qualities/"availability", But achieving power may be denying understanding, and seeking ivory castles... CALIFORNIA is the location where private intuition seems to flower, but to capitalize on those communities is the missing link, there is no ACCEPTIBLE compassion test that can benefit work, from a secondary normative ecology, and the layers may be thick, but the essence is there, activism... and SCIENCE

  • I have the social vaccine, please see my quantified policy recommendations A.N.N.Y.T. for the left coast at socialvaccine

  • thx! it gave me a peek through the world of sociology. thx.

  • Thank you. Yes a 3 minute course is all I need. Just this basic stuff. Fascinating study. Cousin of linguistics perhaps?

  • Yes, to some degree. Were it my choice we would integrate many disciplines.
