do you think the decrease has anything to do with the hollidays and people selling gold to buy trinkets? Then when it comes around to february ish they are finally recovering from their spending and looking to save (or even the rich profiting from this spending as they are the producers and then are putting some into gold).

But I do not think this accounts for the majority of the forces behind the cycle. it is Elliott wave techniques that illuminate cycles and their corresponding time sequence, in other words it's just mass market sentiment Merry Christmas and a happy new year I think they buy more than trinkets
