  • nice boken my friend

  • real ninjas didnt wear woodland camo

  • @iKushAqW LOLLLLLLL

  • thats not a ninjato thats a movie prop the sword isnt curved also the tsuba is a square if you do a roll the corner of the square would stab you. they started using straight swords in the movies because they are cheaper to make and save money on production

  • how are you teacher?

  • this is a perfect ten minute workout for any ninja.

  • change the music please

  • Where do you get these swords?

  • Japanese ninja to Twitter

    ttp://twitter.com/#!/Ninja_apprentic

  • Comment removed

  • i dont understand the hidden sword stance

  • i learned allot form this guy

  • i learned allot form this guy :)

  • i bet if u worked out and built some muscle, ud be a lot faster and dexterous. i dont know crap bout martial arts but u seem to have a goon notion of what ur doing and ur not doing a bunch of stupid stuff like a lot of the pretend ninjas on youtube. keep up the good work :) and take steriods or something cuz ud be a beast

  • turning ur back to an opponent while stabbing may look cool but it will also get u killed

  • @kapoof2 conscidering u can't see if the blade is actually piercing the target or not.

  • thanks for the vids, i'm really learning some stuff, thank you xO

  • otresny...

  • Nice techinic but you lack finess

  • I'm a fan of "Boffers" myself, and I've fought SCA and Markland. You can fight "To" in both with the fencers by modifying a Schlager balde to the japanesse handgrip and whatnot. But cutting practice and hard target training refine technique and help make it combat effective. I've decided to post a video response to this sometime this week. Still, cudos just for putting the video forward.

  • Thanks for watching friend. I look foward to your videwo. @sidiagung

  • Soldier Ninja ^^

  • Oddly, I was SCA/Markland for yeaes and rolled through a few "Sword Cults" before that. Boffers are fine, but don't react like the real thing. Weight is different, there's no follow through (and there shouldn't be). Cutting drills with live swords present the student with hard targets against which they learn to modify "Perfect" form to the realities of using a live blade against the human body and/or a human with a blade. Swords for cutting practice should have the following traits...

  • The basic techniques aren't bad, I agree that you rush through footwork a bit, but you don't seem off balance. The two handed cuts and thrusts have value. I can't see hand position- 1 hand, but it looks as though the grip is lose . Try some cutting drills. Saplings are great and readily to hand, nothing more than 2 inches around and go slow at first. I've seen worse. Though I am glad that you said some was just for show. Not bad, Practice makes perfect.

    Dave

  • @sidiagung Yes I am always working on this, I have new sword video's out too. This was fun to film. Thank you for your suggestions I will deeply consider them.

  • Have you ever tried taking padded swords and really sparring with someone?

  • @GrandMaster428 yes there is a video of that on my website. Boffer battles.

  • @ShinobiMystic I didn't mean that larp stuff with the heavily padded sticks, I mean light weight, thin padded swords. Most people I know practice with what is reffered to as duct taped swords, half inch PVC with the foam padding and duct tape going around it all the way up and down the sword one time, keeping it light, durable, fast, and nobody would get seriously hurt. those larp weapons are too unrealistic, slowing your actions down too much.

  • @GrandMaster428 I dunno what you mean. I have been larping for 10 years, and boffers are pvc foam covered with duck tape swords that are light and use for lightest touch combat. Yes I have done that before. And most of these moves work well. Especially if you look like you are unarmed.

  • now i know where the light saber fighting got its inspiration

  • @gooddarkjedi ha ha.

  • its funny how people who DONT post videos on youtube are always the same ones critiqueing others. this guy isn't hurting anyone, he's having fun and who doesn't like "ninjas". isn't it also interesting that if you don't study the same thing the guy who posts negative remarks on your youtube post always calls other people's art forms "bullshido"? come on dude. it's called martial ARTS --- which means that anything goes and it's all in the eye of the beholder. stand down bullies.

  • @kohanjin I think critiqueing is perfectly fine, but everyone wants to tell you what you're doing wrong, normally in a blunt fashion, instead of sharring reasonable advice.

  • lolz, sorry, but i can still see you, might want to re think you camo, or improve ur skillz to the point were, so you don't need any

  • you r amazing, im training to become a ninja myself. since my area of training is a wooded area you have helped me greatly!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

  • @thejackalninja thanks for watching friend. I wish you the best with your training. Let me know if you have any questions. Remember the world is your dojo.

  • Dude I don't mean to rag on you but I hope you don't think any of your "moves" have any combat effectiveness. Try slowing and paying more attention to your footwork. Better yet go find a good teacher and forget everything you just tought yourself. Sorry just being honest.

  • @SageMillen707 yeah some of this is just flashy stuff for youtube. I am working on developing real skills with the blade as well.

  • very interesting how I developed many of these same techniques without formal training with the katana.

  • what sword is that?

  • @TheMaxelll just a wooden ninja to.

  • @TheMaxelll a bullshito XD

  • ShinobiMystic, thank you for this video....

  • @DarkBluePatrick97 thanks for watching I am glad you enjoyed it.

  • patetico aces ver el ninjato como un jugete eres malo

  • Music is nice...!

Someone knows how to find it for download?

  • @SRBDanilo dream dance alliance - shinobi

  • A lower stance and flow (not attack & reset) are needed to do any ninjutsu (& acrobatics). Know that even orthodox ninjutsu is geared for assassination, which IS murder. Shinobi, I'm not trying to rip on you--I actually really like your stealth vid, but @ 2:07 your hands are bass-ackwards for that reverse-grip stab. You will seriously kill yourself in a fight with that. If you want to improve your fundamentals, train and go to war... & hiding the sword assumes surprise. Surprise gets you killed.

  • @Lachdenan wow that is helpful real world info friend thank you.

  • @ShinobiMystic No problem, dude. I don't toot my own horn, but I've been around, and I don't screw around when it comes to not getting killed. If you want to talk martial arts, feel free to send me direct messages. I will talk martial arts with you all day (disregarding my busy schedule), and, when I don't have the answer, I will point you to people that do. Semper Fi.

  • jajajajajajajaja jijijiji jojojojojoj

    it's very funny master

  • By using this technics he would not be able to kill even a squirrel.

  • wow, very good¡

  • he is trying to be snake from metal gear solid

  • What kind of art is this that involves the sword? i wouldn't mind getting involved.

  • ninjutsu

  • Kenjutsu is the art of the sword and this is ninjutsu techniques.

    Humble follower of shadow

    Ninjapupil123

  • not only ninjutsu is involved, but as you can see, Battoujutsu is also involved, where you attack upon the blade leaving the saya.

  • @salvationwar very true. Thanks for watching friend.

  • nice....may i know the title of the track? :D

  • Dream Dance Alliance Track name - Shinobi

  • Good vid shinobi mystic loved it.

  • Thanks for watching.

  • great techniques but may i recommend going on 1 knee at 2:15? it more accurate

  • I see. Thanks for watching.

  • is that a tenza zangetsu?

lol sorry. huge bleach fan and i cant help notice the hilt is similar and the blade is black.. xD

  • I am just using a Wooden NinjaTo, staight blade ninja sword.

  • is it a Training bokken?

  • It is a training ninja to. Wooden straight sword.

  • BANKAI!!!

  • You are way awesome with the ninja sword the only thing that really stood out that I would suggest changing a bit is at 2:15 when you turn. "be direct in your attacks." - Bruce Lee...It looks great but I'm just wondering if that turn is really necessary...Great videos btw.

  • Yes I see what you mean, that makes lots of sense. Thank you for the great words from Bruce Lee and thanks for watching friend.

  • :) no prob keeping working on it your really good!

  • May I suggest, that when switching up your feet during the attack, instead of a jump switch, maybe try a glide switch, in order to maintain contact with the ground? I would also like to point out, that it might be easier if, during the downward diagonal strike, you block and continue the strike from where the block takes place. In other words, instead of raising the blade above and behind your head, perhaps you could slash, using only the power of your wrists.

  • Yes a glide is better while in the air you have no control. I am grateful to get advice like this from you friend. Thank you so much.

  • I did not want to come off as critical, but that glide switch is something I learned the hard way. I would also like to slightly amend my advice regarding the sword word, by saying, that the slash requires just a little more that power of your wrists. It also requires a drop in the hips for power and a slight forward extensions of the arms. Aside from that, the vidoe is well made. To quoter my teachers, "Seek the gentle". From me, keep practicing and training.

  • No way I know you mean well that is why I invited you to be friends. Thanks so much I will work this into my training.

  • gotta increase the speed on the kaiten technique. don't leave the leg sticking out as you spin; pull it closer so the centripetal force accelerates you. practice the faster spin.

  • I see, thank you friend. I will work on that.

  • Great work with the sword, takes some time but practice makes perfect. Great video.

  • Yes I continue to strive to make the sword one with me.

  • I am very familiar with your "diagonal downward slash" and the combination of it with the reverse slash as well as the one hand thrust, but many of these other techniques are new to me. A very good video

  • Thanks for watching, yes the sword can some in all 8 directions.

  • hello do you have any recomendations on a first video?

  • i had not seen this one in the related so i had to watch it. nice work mike 5 stars

  • Thanks for watching friend. Yes this is based on the Robert Bussey sword Work I know.

  • hiding your sword is futile if you show your aggression

  • yes it is, that is why we want to mask our intention.

  • is that a ninjato or a katana?

  • ninjato

  • if you want Katana don't buy on internet....there are not real...

Try to buy Katana sword that is from Japan and that is old...But there are wery ekspensive....

  • you got right, one could dish out a fortune for an elegant blade. I really like using those solid one piece metal swords.

    Thanks for watching friend.

  • you can buy some good swords for about 1000€ witch are realy good, of course they are not like the real deal but they do the job.

There is only 1 guy in japan who makes katana sword from the steel that real katana swords are, and he is the last master.

    All others are fake

  • Actually he's faster with his feet than most martial artists i've seen. MOST. Of course I've seen real freaks with footwork. But this guy's doing well. Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks friend, I am still working at this stuff. I think training out in the woods with uneven ground has helped my foot work. thank you for you kind words.

  • I would disagree, his feet leave the ground too much. When you're up against an opponent who knows what they're doing, they'll notice that once a foot is off the ground you're instantly unbalanced. Forgive me if I sound like an angry traditionalist but this just seems like amateur thrashing in a forest.

  • Yeah I know what you mean, I need to develop my skills more. Thanks for your comments I have much to learn.

  • Is that a Boken or a real Katana?

  • That is a Boken.

  • Okay... I was just wondering... I have my own boken and am thinking of getting a Katana from Cold Steel, what would you suggest for a good Katana?

  • I dont really know, I guess the more ekpensive the better with that kind of thing I hear.

  • your technique is ok but you are slow on your feet....

  • yeah, it is hard with all the sticks and leaves on the ground. I will keep at it.

    Thanks for watching.

  • Nice technique but your not have the strength acquired to do this sort of the movements. Do not offend please. Just do more practices and you will be fine. My respect.

  • Oh yes, I realize I need more practice, hopefully next time I put up a sword video my skills will be better. Thanks for watching friend.

  • oh and keep the tip pointing down until it comes back for a slash

  • thanks I appreciate the feedback.

  • when bring the sword out make it go around your body they slash for surounding attackers

  • Thanks.

  • Whats the song called?

  • I don't remember the song name but it is by dream dance alliance. Thanks for watching.

  • its called Shinobi by Dream Dance alliance

  • my vid is no all 3 injoy it and rate it or comment if you want is this video of you is recap it is im rate it

  • hi,1st can i ask what ryu you study under. Bujinkan?

and 2nd, why are you showing people this?

    :{

i am interested because i study... Ninjutsu.

ps. your Kata were not half bad.

  • I have been leaning kendo. And I have been showing people this because I use the comments to better my own learning and teachings.

    Thanks for watching.

  • This is pretty cool. Could you pull it off in the face of the enemy in a life or death situation?

  • I do not know friend.

  • Thank you , nice vid helped me alot !

  • thanks for watching watcherzz

  • evade it i s to atack pressure points and and veriasle mucsles leaving the enemy with no will to fight

  • yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy do people take the piss man he has put it sa a taste of ninjutsu and from sword style it looks like koga i may be wrong he is doing every one a favour people watch it practice it in front of com and trust your sword movment and also skills develop myne have he is putting up somthing u can train from and not show off and iin ninja there is no blocking u div not shinobi mystic to the idiot that put up post it is evade attack what

  • we will do a tribute for u friend when we get a chance with work and training oh lol by the way the old sword body movment synronises with the movement u do to the music lol are names are tony and karlo = tatsu tony and ryuu karlo 2 brothers as one lol so they say we are under going major training in togakure now and not budjinkan as are senai feels we need it and can acomadate it

  • No worries, I don't need anykind of tribute. I am just glad that you are able to learn from these video's like I can.

Peace be with you awlays friends.

  • sorry i have not been in touch friend are training for me and my brother has been a lot just starting to heal we have been studing in english the art of smoke mind war fare and shoji we both have been recomened as green belt 5 star wich is great as are sensai as kept us on white to put us against other higher grades which he said we in barrased them and that was his aim the belt means nothing it shows what u are not what u are capable of and was proven

  • I wish you and your brother a speedy recovery. Remember train safe. I am luck I have not had any injuries in years.

  • THAT'S DANGEROUS, what if somebody mistakes you for a dear and shoots you?!?! ^_^

  • Yeah that is a risk I will take.

  • Also Im sure ninjas would have employed blocks in their techniques. In close combat situations you cannot always rely on being able to evade the attack in tight situations such as corridors or small rooms.

  • that is true, in my new video. Short sword concepts I show blocks with this weapon. Yes but it is better to evade then block that way your blade does not get dull.

    Thanks for watching.

  • Nice vid man. 5 stars keep it up!

You wouldn't happen to know the song you used for this video would you?

  • Thanks for watching. I'll have to get back to you about the song.

  • ok and thanks shinobi mystic we will add some music it will be more of a tribute for you for putting up all of ur vids and tech we may demanstrate some moves properly thnkx [bow]

  • Your making a tribute? Well let me know if you are going to post that. I just try my best by helping others out.

  • did you forget about salvation? Yahshua is the only way to Heaven. amightywind is the website

  • if u like when we have an out door training with me my bro and friend we shall do u little clip of the ryuuko dojo style of ninjutsu budo taijutsu if u like to add to ur site sorry i keep posting this friend as i like it very much u have created harmany with the blade when put togeather it would be a personal video of us as we are not allowed to do them in dojo [bow] tatsu and ryuu and daniel

  • Hey I would love to see what you can do. I'm sorry to hear that you are unable to do some techniques in you dojo. I feel that I have studied so many martial arts, I can only do what works best for myself. I would be glad to see your video.

    Peace be with you.

  • so shinobi mystic where did u learn all what u show cus we 3 train in ninjutsu and your fighting staces sword tech and unarmed combat is the same exept some of ur blocks that i think is u it is deliverd as a type of karate block and techiqley ninja do not block its classed as a strike bone smashing tech and muscle destroying ligerments e.t.c ur shinobi mystic swords training is great by the way probley one of best p.s like the music dude

  • Some of my sword blocks are from kendo. I use them because they have worked really well for me. I understand that the ninja did not block instead they evading and countered all attacks. I use some blocks to set up some attacks. Thanks for posting my friend. Peace be with you always.

  • i find it horribly rude of you to have removed Hyoujinsama's comment... do you have some explanation? its not like he was posting off topic...

  • I'm sorry I may have accidentally deleted it. I do not mean to offend anyone.

    peace be with you.

  • u realy are a ninja most people are fake and in gets on ur nerves but u are great could u possible make a sword dvd for me with u doing kata and tech plz to advance my training {bow} tasu and ryuu keep in touch

  • I am not a ninja, I simply use their warrior aspects to my training.

  • There is a lot I need to work on. Mater of fact you may not see must How to do things. Am waiting to be a Hight Brown belt to do that.

  • Creative, fluid and pwerful,I really like ths style you are coming up with Mike. This is one of my favorite videos of yours.

  • thanks Dan. These are some creative cuts that I believe are very deceiving. I still need to work on the foot work so I get the slices done really fast.

  • You have some amazing sword skills. I've practiced and have done the hidden sword techniques as well. I like them for Escrima or batons as well. Your one handed techniques could really be useful for Escrima or Hanbo techniques too. Great job keep it up.

  • That is very true. I think that with a hand bo there are even more applications because each end of the short staff can be used.

  • It is always awesome to see how graceful and skillful you are in your training. I also like the song you chose, it's very appropriate and catchy at the same time, I thought I remembered it from somewhere :). You are definitely one to look up to in a lot of aspects, thank you for sharing and your end quote full of wisdom!

  • Thank you for your kind words. Your guys truly inspire me to keep going. I hope you have been able to learn much friend.

  • awesome video, u should have added some of the multiple functions that the ninja swords have instead of it being just attacking and blocking techniques, still good job! :)

  • Thats true, the sword did have other functions like climbing, snorkel, and antenna for moving in darkness. Is this what you mean?

  • awesome video

  • Not tring to e mean or anything just trying to help ;)

  • your attack dont seem to be very stable.

they dont seem to flow or fallow through

  • Yeah

  • Awesome!5 stars

  • Thank you ! BTW what's the songs name ?

  • Very good ! And thanks ! *bow*

  • Just a piece of trivia: did you know that the world's foremost authority on ninja sword techniques is also one of the world's greatest sushi chefs?

  • Does that mean Sushi are only possible through the Ninja sword techniques? O_o

And who is it, if i may ask?

  • that means he knows how to cut wicked good.

  • Definitely. Have you ever tried cutting sashime (thinly cut raw fish)? It takes deadly accuracy.

  • I have not. I find it hard to get the skin off the salmon I eat.

  • Nigirizushi uses thin pieces of fish. Sashimi should be thicker. ^_^ I do have to say, though...actual cutting dynamics are similar in both uses (katana and yanagiba), save for the swing and follow through, of course. Lol

  • very cool to see the camo ninja back. fun sword style. mike do you think you can send me a pic to my yahoo email of the new nintai logo so i can add it to my intro please. thanks. and in case you want it for other videos. the vertical downward slash is shomen and the diagonal down is kasi keri. take care 5 stars

  • hi seen your videos nice

  • what's the soundtrack called?

  • I maybe useing the full sized swords my master.
