Come on, are you serius? First of all, is Mikkey Dee you're talkin' about, no matter how good you, mapexlb, may be at drums, Mikkey Dee is fuckin' awesome at what he does at that's indeniable.

Second, you play the drums the way your drumset makes you feel more comfortable, and that changes from every drummer. In the case of Mikkey Dee, this is the way that fits better for his playing.
