  • Shit, There is no light there, how can i see all this teaching from you MAN ?

  • slow the eff down!

  • This is good, but you're going way too fast. If you said which strings and frets instead of "here" it would have made it much clearer :)

Plus I couldn't see the strings from the quality of the camera.

  • only one problem i found your graph in the backround very confusing because it was just simply a clusterfuck

  • very helpful

  • Cheers, this kinds helps my poor guitar skills LOL ;) x

  • Thank you! This was very helpful.

  • ... you are a nasty cock on speed ...

  • I love how you try to be chrismatic, well thanks for the post!

  • I cant move my hand fast enough ):

  • thanks sooo much you helped me alot !!!!

  • Thank you so much guitar guy ^^

  • what site shows their tabs like this

  • For the A chord you don't need to use fingers 4,3,2. If you are a beginner i would say use fingers 1,2,3 since your pinky is weak and not used to putting pressure on guitar strings.

  • This was really helpful! Thank you! (:

  • dude ur chart is back wards da chords are right but confuseing

  • When your playing a chord do you strum all 6 strings? or just the ones youre presssing?

  • Wow u go WAY to fast

  • Thanks

  • mkay will this work for electric guitar?

  • i'm just a beginner and this has helped a lot, thanks!:)

  • Thanks random American guy! :D

  • F an B chords have always been tough for me, probably b/c they are bar chords. I have big enough hands to to them, but is there an easier way to do them?

  • @cyril04231999 It is, but he's got it upside down; his chart has the higher E labeled "floor". He's just showing us in an inverted form, as if we were actually looking down at the guitar as we play.

  • HEY I TAUGHT ITS E,A,D,G,B,E

  • NICE VIDEO,BUT WHY TAKE MONTHS TO LEARN WHEN YOU CAN LEARN IN 2 DAYS WITH 2DAYGUITAROURSE(DOT)INFO.

  • @amyrowland100 haha I learned all these chords within the first few weeks c(: The time it takes to learn is only measured by the effort you put into it (:

  • Good one thanks

  • excuse me....can you slow down. I'm a super beginner

  • thanxs dude :) that really helped me

  • @horseburger you mean inpossible

  • @111theflash he means impossible :D and thats what you mean too..

  • that is unpossible

  • reminds me the guy from transformers

  • haha he has the same guitar as me :D lol good video tad confusing though :L

  • I know all of the chords already, but I find that when teaching someone the B barre chord is actually easier than the cheating B chord. A lot of people have trouble spreading their fingers out that far. plus they need to learn barre chords anyways.

  • B chord = "Bitch" Chord

  • very big thank you!!! you help me a lot. i train to learn it from book, but didnt understand anything :))

  • 2:52 my bad

  • 1:52 why is there a 3 on the D string?

  • NICE

  • slow down dude where are you hurry to ?!

  • to fAST

  • bro write e minor n E major instead.its much easier

  • this is really helpful, thanks!

  • The end,

"So thats it, there is all the chords. You are ready to rock eh.....

  • B is pretty damn impossible

  • thank u alot its a blessing being able to learn from u i ask the Lord for more favor upon u my brother ur alot of help for people like me thank u alot!!!

  • Are you in a hurry? Haha! But hey, well done! Keep it up! GBU

  • You are really good at playing the guitair

  • The awkward moment when you realise everything your learned is backwards...................

  • Does anyone know why my guitar is so deep, it's tuned right according to my tuner:/ now im conused

  • HAHA

'its right here in the middle. See this in the middle? THE STRINGS GOIN CRAZY. Its pretty easy to move... Dont move it that hard or you'll break it

    HAHAHA lol

  • Hey Walt, nicely explained, I'm a beginner and of course, it's killing me, but you helped with your approach - though are some of the chords you've shown, including strumming all strings i.e. open strings and none that 'shouldn't be struck (x) - also useful info on using the middle frets when we can't stretch our fingers - though is the sound on the F the same there - spose you're gonna tell me it is, wasn't near my guitar when I posted this!! (Keep up the good work! and thanks)

  • thank you .. it help a lot :D godbless keepitup :)

  • easy

  • too fast!

  • some good info, although as evryone says there's a pause button, walt is full of saying put your finger here and there with the vid, he could say make sure you have your third finger on the 2nd fret , 4th string etc, or is that more confusing, I'm a newbie and the trouble is on the net, you go evrywhere and end up with too much advice. Agree about the bar chord on A tho

  • Thank you sooo much!XD

  • Nice :D I just put up a lesson on each chord

  • Totally helped me only on the A Chord.. :p Hahaha Thanks! (: Next video..

  • Good! But can you maybe make one for kids??? Please!

  • Excuse me, I will like to know if using different fingers to play certain notes is acceptable or not. An example will be using finger 1,2,3 to play the A chord instead of 2,3,4. Thank you.

  • @zch78 thats bad. the reason is because in 2 years when you learn new chords you'll see why it's written that way. to break a bad habit is tough on guitar. so learn correctly the first time.

  • @waltribeiro I was struggling so much with this until i watched your video. Thanks alot mate. I couldn't fir my fingers on the 3rd fret for the A chord but now it seems much better. Ta

  • @zch78 play however u can play it... if u play the A with 2,3,4 its not going to sound different... its just about finger positioning. I've been playing for a few years and theres nothing wrong with it. the MAIN reason i play like that is cause i have thick fingers

  • Nice just what I was looking for. Can you do another for the other chords. Thanks.

  • BEST DAD GUMMED GEETAR LESSONS I EVER SEEN

  • when i do it the sound isent nice or sound right at all? is it just tuneing or am i doing it wrong?

  • @technohousehold you might need to press harder on the strings that could help i'm a bass player but a friend of mine started playing guitar a few days ago and i am helping him and i noticed that he was afraid to press the strings harder on the frettboard..,

  • do you put your fingers inbetween or on the frets? sorry im a drummer and im easily confused:S

  • @willbo456ify in between

  • PlugFather . com has some great lessons as well :)

  • @waltribeiro thx, but i asked my dad, he told me how to do it. thx though!

  • Can You Please Make A Video Better To Understand For A Kid?? I Mean A Clearer View Of The Guitar Please??

  • B... Too confusing. Could you explain it in another vid?

  • @SmileySally0009 i have lots of B chord tutorials. More at my website - which is my name

  • @waltribeiro hey walt good lookin on the lessons, real easy to understand, do you have any lessons on minor chords?

  • Thank you! Nicely edited. Did you shoot this yourself? You cover a lot of ground quickly and clearly. Yes I will need to watch it a few times to get everything but that's okay. Thanks for your explanation of the F chord!!! :-)

  • argh.. im so confused with B!

  • b is killing me...is it because my hands are too small?

  • hAY TO FAST AND NOT ENTH IMFO

  • too fast bla bla bla

  • hey whats a fret?

  • Ima write these down thanks

  • wow, you've helped me so much, thanks!

  • thnks man

  • @waltribeiro cheers dude it was worth going thru different videos that didnt help :) deffinatly subscribing :D thanks again man :D

  • u talk too much....

  • i cant do the B chord :/

  • ahhh I can't see anythinnnnnng but you're great

  • thanks

  • Dude Thank You now i know ow to play guitar :)) thank u verry verry much how i wish i could help you too someday!!!!

  • you suck at teaching!

  • @membrenoR80 YOU JUST CANT UNDERSTAND IT SO YOUR THE SUCK NOT TE TEACHER!

  • @MrJazZSotto i looked at other videos and understood it all completely! he still sucks

  • @membrenoR80 in teaching needs to be more professional! with all do respect

  • @membrenoR80 you know this video... this video is the one why i can play guitar now !

  • @1996chrisb thats how tabs are written

  • for the A chord its easier to use just your index finger

  • thnx sooooo much...

  • You should mark the strings that are NOT played with an X on your chart. For example, for the A Chord mark XE string (ceiling on your chart) , for B Chord mark XE (ceiling) and Xe (floor), for C Chord mark XE, for D Chord mark XE and XA, for E Chord all 6 strings played, for F Chord mark XE and XA, for G Chord all 6 strings played. This is because in general, chords start with the root note that is the same as the chord name. e.g. C chord starts with the C note: 3rd fret on 5th (A) string.

  • thank u so much

  • easy song to play: micotte - up & down

  • For everybody saying it's too fast, there's a pause button for a reason. Pause it, learn it, and press play, repeat.

  • @brainpollution15 18 likes!

  • @waltribeiro Even better... 20! Oh wait, make that 21...

  • @waltribeiro lol dude i see comments with over 100000 lieks before

  • too fast!!! and maybe zoom-in so that we can see it clearly. :D

  • Ok you didn't really simplify it alot... And you went verrry fast.. Thankyou though I learned something :)

  • Why cant his "floor" on the board be nearer to the floor?

  • this helped me alot thank you so much

  • Great video. If these people would just pay attention to the board they should know how to play these chords.

  • To Fast! To Fast!! D:

  • great vid !!!

  • Comment removed

  • Your guitar sounds like its using plastic strings o.e

  • mate you have done my head in .....

  • this sux... i cant see where his fingers are.... >:O

  • niceee

  • oh god.. i can't see where he is putting his fingers..

  • At the end of the day the guy is trying to help us?, but obviously working at his teaching technique. All good.

  • Really needs better lighting. But he means well.

  • @50kvsstudiosessions This would be a great help, except that I'm poor and I can't afford to go get the 3/4 guitar. xD But I see what you're saying. I'll see if any of my friends have one that I can borrow. Thanks for the advice.

  • over a million views! u go walt! thanks so much for sharing the knowledge, bro!

  • sadly, my fingers are too fat to all fit on the frets :(

  • Great vid :D

  • Does anyone else find playing bar chords nearly impossible? D: I wanna learn the guitar so bad, but I have little hands and it makes it so difficult. I couldn't play F#m or a Bm chord to save my life. And for the record, I think this video is perfectly fine and very helpful. Everyone complaining about the pace of it all just need to be quiet.

  • @MissMariahMisfit thanks for the support. As for barre chords, if its that difficult, you can always play 'partial bar chords'

  • @MissMariahMisfit i also have little hands but still i can play a little...im also a beginner....

  • @MissMariahMisfit You just might need a guitar with a thinner neck. Shop around! Don't give up! You can also down tune the strings. ie lowering the pitch. Maybe a capo would help too. Try it out. A great teacher and daily dedication is above all!!! Persistance!

  • @MissMariahMisfit i have big hands and find it hard

  • @MissMariahMisfit Hey don't know if your still trying to play a bar chord, but the way i figured it out is don't worry about playing any strings, just worry about barring the neck. put you pointer finger acrossed the strings just barely above the frett marker thing... on mine it's a silver bar, keep it as straight as possible, and squeeze as hard as you can with your thumb and pointer finger. It also helps to use any other availiable fingers to help press down. Practice gain strength. it's hard

  • Anybody else notice Nut on the board lol?

  • @drew111flip1114 that's what that big first fret (before the neck starts) is called.

  • @drew111flip1114 yes, its part of the guitar

  • In my opinion, if you slowed things down (talking and displays) your lesson could be better understood. Remember, we're just beginners.

    Thanks for the effort!

  • @sirslice there's over 400 tutorials of mine, some more advanced than others, also feel free to go to website (my name) and they are all in order there :)

  • again this is just my opinion (btw, I'm in the communications business) in the videos you come across as (as Seinfeld would say) a "fast talker". It could be because you're passionate about guitar playing, teaching, or maybe it's just the way you communicate. When teaching, it's always best to slow things down. It gives the pupils a chance to digest this new information, no matter what the level of the pupil. If you're concerned about the length of the lesson, simply focus on less. (imho)

  • I just got a guitar and I find this video bewildering. Way too fast for me and instructions too rushed for my liking. will not be watching this again. He asumes too much for beginners.

  • @Shaun17170 there's over 400 tutorials of mine, some more advanced than others, also feel free to go to website (my name) and they are all in order there :)

  • not to be mean, but i really dont understand what ur kinda saying

if u can like pull the camera close to where ur fingers are and showing us where the fingers are and saying on the screen this is the note. writing on a white board and saying this is it, i wont be able to understand. im only 14 but i need to know where the cords are actually are

  • I have two questions, first of all I like you're video is very visual and easy to follow especially for beginners :D ok now to my questions. So in all chords do you strum all the 6 strings from top to bottom or there are some u shud and others u shouldnt? and second of all, for example you know how u said that instead of using middle, ring and pinky we could just use the middle finger to create a half bar, which one shud you use, wats the difference? cuz ppl teach differnt things, well thanks :D

  • Thank you for not making your video's so long and complicated unlike the rest :)

  • i'm confused and I can play the guitar!!!!

  • DON'T LEarN FROM THIS IF U WANA LEARNTHE RIGHT WAY

  • Thanks a lot it helped me a LOT more then most of them retarded youtubes video

  • wow that actually helped a lot

  • this workedd perfectlyy thankkss

  • wowww bro justt your bullshit jkkk nice vid

  • very helpfull thanks

  • best fkign teacher :D thanks to you i know some chords altough my finger hurts =.=

  • Do i only use one finger if the numbers (circle stuff) are in the same fret or tab?

Not getting it: I'm talking about the Chords. ((: Hope i get my answer.. : D

  • @sicesphillaoag no the numbers refer to fingers. go to my website (my name) and search "how to read tabs"

  • That was something that was bugging me, I just needed to learn it. Thanks man.:D

  • This helped a lot! Thanks:) I just got my guitar today and this video is really easy to understand. It helped so much!

  • Pretty cool. My only comment is that you should find a better-lit spot to record

  • Eddy

    Eddy

    it helped me a lot

  • try guitarmanual.typepad.com for instruction and ebook guitar

  • Thanx this helps with my e guitar

  • Fuck. This is hard. I have no clue what to do, I just got my guitar yesterday. - _-

  • Thank you so much for the advice. I'm a girl and my hands are not as big as a guy's... So knowing I can do the same position on a different fret without stretching my hands until they break is helpful.

  • awesome

  • your dumb

  • @MrRyanStern fair enough

  • @MrRyanStern "You're".

  • @MrRyanStern you're the dumb one for not knowing the difference between 'your' and 'you're'. You just got owned.

  • cool

  • Are you supposed to strum all 6 strings? or only the ones that you're pressing down?

  • @SuperSeppie all 6

  • Good video, but with all due respect I have criticism: First off, your title should be "How To Play All Major Guitar Chords From A To G", because there's other chords: augmented, minor etc. Secondly, I think the fingering for some chords do not need to be barred, unless necessary. The strongest fingers should be used, because it can strengthen the sound. Barring comes later on. Nonetheless, great video. You explained the theory of chords very clearly. This is helpful for beginners guitarists.
