I avoid Vision center at all cost! Horrible customer service, after paying for scratch resistant lenses it scratched in no time & they just glued my frame hinge now I can't fold my frame & also scratched my lenses!!
I am currently an Optician at a Walmart Vision Center in Alaska and yes u are right there is somewhat fine print the frames do have a warranty for one year from date of purchase it has always applied to childrens glasses but was only recently started for adults (Nov, '09). The frames are covered but as far ad the lenses go it really depends on the problem for instance scratching is not covered under warranty but things like stress cracks and coating failure are covered under warranty.
I could be wrong but Im pretty sure the "old man" in this commercial is none other than the great Phil Hendrie!...please correct me if Im wrong but Im sure thats Phil!
