Mostly custom it. That's why 3.8 are in every GM cars are listed. 3.4L no one talks about. They garage ok. If there only a 3.4 and a 3.1. I would grab the 3.1. It's stronger that's why. I have an almost identical white 96 GTP (gold rims). Had it for 5 years, drive it every day, and will never sell it. 120k miles but I love that car. It is one of the most underrated vehicles on the road..such a well tuned machine

The engine is in and all wired up. I just bought a house so I will be taking it back there to work on. Everything is done except the hole in the floor where the Headers are and the exhaust needs setting up. I will be making more vids for sure.
Use the engine harness from a 98 Monte Carlo SS w/3800 NA engine. Add the Boost Bypass Solinoid and MAP to the computer and one power wire to the C100 Firewall plug and your done.
Dude, I absolutey LOVE my 96 Grand prix gtp, although I dont know how many miles yours has on it.... mine has well over 175k! I love these cars! Mine is also white but I put on a body kit and made it a tuner....
I just picked up an 85 Trans Am, no engine or tranny though. But I also got my hands on an L76 6.0L V8 engine. I am so Contemplating doing a 6.0L install into the 96GTP using the TA parts.....I maybe doing another pull and install into the GTP before next summer.
