They're very different and their power/torque curves will be very different too, despite having very similar maximum power output.

Let me put my point better: the conditions of the driver's :)

@LordWolf2007 um no to the bigger eng thing. honestly the eve driver did ok for the conditions. 1 condition being the infinity driver had him sittin on the 2-step forever and 2. the road was wet so if he launch it right he would have had wheelspin which it didn't sound like he had so he def wasn't at full boost when he launched which definitely could have made a difference he still came around the G but he would have been further ahead to win ultimately...

Well... I'd pick the Evo over the G35... I mean yes, compared to RWD/Mid-ships/FWD cars, top end speed is it's power... But then, that top end dies when for example, the car races on an up hill... And gains speed on a downhill race... However, AWD [not 4WD since the two are completely different...] have power beyond imagination... An Evo IX can outmatch a G35 sometimes... As I have seen once...

Now, the Evo X... I hate to admit it but Mitsu seems degraded themselves on this...

Ok to all you who don't understand the AWD system of the G35x, it's like this, When from a dead stop or when accelerating it ratios i believe, now i could be wrong, but i think its 40% front 60% back power, when at a coasting speed, i.e. driving at a constant speed on the highway say 60 for example, the car is 100% RWD, same system the skylines used.

Example the Mitsubishi Eclipse which have the old 4G63 turbocharged motor....the same motor that's in the Evolution 3, which i happen to have....Us models of that motor only come with no more than 220hp where as the Evo 3 comes with 260hp stock....and to the dude below me....its not the engine that makes the R35 GTR stand out its the transmition and the computerized system of the car which controls the chassis of the R35, which the G37 dont have and wont have.......fan boy lmao look whos talkin

No not all lancers are evo's, you can tell the diff when you see them in body style. I don't know much about them except they are rugged and stiff little shits compared to the infiniti and for an every day car with some quickness, the infiniti trumps the evo hard. The evo also costs much less new than a g35/37
