voices? Thats funny, I used to think just like you. The only way people as yourself will believe the things that I wrote, is to experience it yourself. Trust me I been were you are!
I was a atheist at one point in my life, no faith, no religion nothing. I believed when I died I wouldn't even know I lived. I was wrong! I had something happen to me that defied my whole view on life. I had voice speak in my ear very clearly. I was by myself and no one around in my apartment after work. I've never been so scared in my life. I didn't stop shaken for hours. I'll probably never know what it truly was, but I know for a fact it was alive and not among the living. Judge life wisely
Wow! Now there's a case for atheism if I ever heard one. "I cast off God and went stark-raving-mad." Great concept. BTW, I read all the posts here and found about 2 that actually said anything.
@4GodSoLoves Hey, I got an idea. Why don't you fuck the fuck off, and fuckin' watch your fucking religious videos, you fucking mporon, and leave me the fuc k alone? Religious fuck-head. Oh, and God loves you.
Religion is something made up so people do not think about thinks in a logical view. Imagine the insanity of everyone knowing there is nothing after you die. People might actually get along and have decent lives and treat people better knowing this is it.
@StLennyBruce - Taft was a STIFF old fart .... Why you thought of him is beyond me !
- It's amazing that when people think about religion and it's origins; they realize how irrational it is. At least you now know what not to believe .... saved yourself about 2 years of useless ranting and raving to an invisible, unknowable and unrewarding being in the sky. ( you might try the flying spaghetti monster - better payoff & less reading involved ! )
And the day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerve in the brain of Jupiter. But may we hope that the dawn of reason and freedom of thought in these United States will do away with this artificial scaffolding, and restore to us the primitive and genuine doctrines of this most venerated reformer of human errors.-Thomas Jefferson, Letter to John Adams, April 11, 1823

Thanks for this, Theo. Wish I could have a beer with you and really get into it... Here's the rug pull: I'm getting more spiritual. And I'll be in London in a few weeks.
@FantasticBabblings I'm gonna send this video to my doctor, so he can get me back on 'em. (Did you see the Onion video about the new medication that cures perkiness? It's really funny.)
you said you would never beleive the virgin birth, the virgin birth is a mistranslation and it is possible (parthenogenesis) but even if it happened without it ever happening in any animals, this is not evidence of the bible, this just means the people wrote down what they had saw
If there is an after-life it's gonna be like another job, I think.
I embraced my atheism about a year ago. I've always been an atheist, but I was one of those soft ones that would never admit it. I hedged my bet, played it safe just in case there was a GOD and HE might not actually be keeping a record. I didn't cash in on the euphoria you're experiencing, but I do find it much easier to shoplift now.
You're a nutbar. I love you! *hugs*

Did anybody get my reference to William Taft? Where did that come from? I have no idea what I meant. Will someone explain why I mention Wiiliam Taft?
StLennyBruce 1 year ago
@StLennyBruce William Taft weighed about 300 pounds. I can't imagine him running down the street. He was the last
president to have facial hair.(the sparklers might burn his precious mustache) I mention the hair because it gives him a walrus-like style.
Pet Sounds is often compared to The Beatles use of musical experimentation. Taft was a judge----and somewhat of a walrus.
"I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob g'goo goo g'joob."
Um....he was quite a judicious dude. *subconscious mind out*

@mrblisterfist Alright. We got that sorted out.
I gotta lotta loose ends in my life, so it's good to get this Taft issue handled.

virgin births are rare but scientifically explained. In rare cases sperm gets through the hymen because there are small holes in it.
There is nothing holey about it.

This is a great perspective and not one that we get to see very often.
I say if you want to run down the street naked with sparklers, you should definitely do that. I fully support that.
