  • Good vid

  • the only bit i dont understand about the turbo is where the air filter will be/ were the pipes from the intercooler will go, im guessing its on the intake, but im not sure. anyone care to explain

  • i want to get a turbo for my honda accord. how much will one cost me? i did find this video pretty cool.

  • from $1000 to $5000 depending on your motor and how fast you want it to be.

  • quick question then, how much do u think i can find a turbo for a 05 4cyl accord coupe can be?

  • i installed my turbo on my honda CIVIC 08

coz me $4000.00 turbo kit and some xtras not fully tuned yet though

  • question: I just got my turbocharger and I don't know how to install it. what do I do? or where do I go? pls! tell me what shop do I go to.?

  • Might be a Bit too late to Help but some one else reading can use the info. honestly if your not Savvy or good with Cars leave to someone who is. you can always use Google and look up performance shops near your city, or if you see a bunch of Race Cars meeting up you can always ask one of those guys since they Usually ask about or have knowledge of other car owners who had those upgrades.

    best of luck,

    cageceo

  • Thats a common fallacy. There is a 'cost' 2 turbo power , the turbo is an obstruction in the exhaust gas path which causes pumping loss. This will cause an increase in fuel consumption when the engine is not on boost.

  • super chargers use power from the engine and turbo chargers are free power so i think turbo chargers are better than super chargers

  • bullshit, atomizing my ass...

  • I don't know much about this, but I do know the english language, a skill which some of you might find foreign. My point is, don't leave a comment on someones stupidity if you can't even construct an understandible sentence. Also, i think this guy knows what he is talking about, he co-owns garage, morons.

  • owning a garage does not necessarily constitute expertise !!! There are plenty of tuners / garage owners who should never be allowed near a bicycle let alone a performance car !! This guy is struggling to explain turbo's because he doesn't fully understand them !!!

  • ye thats very true. Its unbelievable how underqualified some of the "tuners" out there are.

  • ye thats very true. Its unbelievable how underqualified some of the "tuners" out there are.

  • how does a tubo increse the full miles thats a load of crap

  • do you even know how engines or turbo charging works? yes it does give better at cruising speeds because the you get more bang for your fuel since there is more air in the engine to combust. bigger combustion means more power and better mileage, and he's real point is using the fuel in your car more efficiently, its true since you also use the exhaust to power your car.

  • On a turbo charger engine air is puped into the cilinder this means that the engin management will alow MORE full into the cumbustion chamber creating a bigger bang. On a car with the same size engine that is normily aspirated less air enters the cylinder meing that less full can be burnt. Most modern cars run at a mixture (in the uk this is) of 18:1 so if there is more air more full has to be injected to keep this mixtre right outherwise the engine would be running lean

  • Yea but if your not in the throttle, it doesn't make boost, which then atomizes the air and makes better MPG.

  • If your not in trotal moden full injected engins dont inject any full unless they are iderling so this makes no diffrench to your MPG

  • dude it takes less fuel to do the same amount of work, that = more mpg

  • a supercharger is belt driven better for torque ,turbo's use ur exaust so u have lag but if u twin them which is same cost of a super youll get like alot more power than a super but u gotta wait 4 the boost super is instant as soon as u hit the pedal torgue because its belt driven

  • true true but wat twin turbo? compound or parallel?

  • i dont like flexing knowledge if i know what i'm talking about. but this is only a question so shoot me if u want. arent turbo charges enferior to supercharges because of turbolag? superchargers work at all revolutions because it lets more air in @ all times making rich fueling right?

  • not really, superchargers are more consistent and can deliver boost, instantly. turbo does have lag but since turbo's doesnt use power from the engine to run it gives you a more efficient boost, and there are numerous ways to circumvent the lag you were talking about, such as twin turbos, twin charging, and through a misfire system(though i wouldn't reccomend this)

  • He knows what he's talking about, but he's an intelligent grease monkey, not a teacher. Give him a break about his improper terminology.

  • i learnt fuck all from this, this video is childs play this is not proper engineering

  • a turbo does not compress the air it just increases it rate

  • patrickmaky42- Does someone pay you to be an idiot or do you offer this for free? Lets see... The cold side of a turbo is called...oh hang on I forgot...oh yeh... THE COMPRESSOR!!! I wonder why they chose that name. hmm.

  • nuh uh!

  • @lazzer408 LOL! agreed! ...i wonder why they rate boost in PSI too? It MUST have to do with the flow rate hahahaha! ...I hope patrickmaky42 never touches my car

  • thats supercharges bud

  • that would be why it is called BOOST. and why stock wastegates are set at 6-10 PSI!!!!!!!! do you know what PSI means. IDIOT

  • you are awesome... we need more videos like this.. simply and you learn a lot

  • Not bad.. nice! :)

  • cool info. i really needed this!
