  • OH MY! Did you see the shooter sweep himself at 1:29???

  • dang, old dude in the green shirt beasted it.

  • Slow. Speed it up some

  • Old timer showed everyone up

  • Very slow and boring

  • where is this club at?

  • and where the hell did we get those pepper poppers ? those are sweet

  • Made from a guy who had a US Dept. of Defense contract. He had leftover 500Brinnell, so he cut them for me for a pretty good price.

  • hahah that was sweet cant wait till the next shoot we should see if we could get this up on are website! well after watching this and over hearing some of the stages u guys were talking about yesterday im going to go buy a new holster that is a little bit more tactical then mine especially for the desk stage great vid see u guys!! and damn 1060 views ....people love us!

  • Great footage. Please put more on. Thanks

  • Thanks, Bob- as soon as I shoot more video, it'll be on here! Looking forward to shooting with you and the rest of the crew when the weather eases up

  • First official IDPA match is on Saturday, March 21, 2009. I already have the stages ready for this date. Can't wait, everyone is excited.

  • Very kind words.

Question: In the stage which begun with 3 shots from retention, was shooting the 2nd & 3rd targets on the move prohibitted?

Would a reload with retention have been allowed for a CDP/1911 shooter after shooting the 3rd?

I'm rusty on my IDPA rules.

  • The video you see is actually the "larval stages" of our IDPA organization at our club, and I am not up on all the rules just yet. But I don't believe shooting targets 2 & 3 on the move was prohibited. At their distance, I think they were simply easier to hit the mark at a stand still.

I believe reloads are allowed at any time as long as other rules are followed throughout the discipline (cover, finger off trigger, and such)

Been trying to get orgnized all wnter 2 B ready for matches in spring

  • Yes, you were supposed to engage T2 & T3 stationary.

  • weird, stand still in the open and shoot or shoot while moving... Ill take the moving.

But, it is do as the stage description says.

Maybe ya should have went prone to simulate using the guy you just plugged three times as cover? Perhaps they should have placed a heavy bag or maniquin for this purpose...

It's all in the props, ya know.

  • The prone is a good idea, except for the fact that we have numerous individuals over 60 shooting and that probably would not be the greatest attraction for the older folks to return if we turned IDPA into Vietnam.

  • Too funny, and too true.

Then again, maybe them old geezers need to realize this is a young man's sport, no ADA in shooting competition.

I'm soooo gonna get out-shoot by some old guy for typing that...

  • Nicely done video!

  • Thank you! I am a basic pistol instructor and I shot this video to show the students some things to improve and maintain shooting skills.

I enjoy your instructional videos and find them very informative!

  • yea, it's fun...we're trying to get an idpa league going at our club

  • I like this type of training it's real life in the way they shoot.
