  • omg mother nature you comand attention wow you are awesome

  • I always come back to this at some point :oP Was this an incoming storm or a departing one. Could you really not hear any thunder at all? That proves just how far away this was. Its so beautiful to watch; such great moments are rare. Cherish them all:)

  • Thanks for the nice comments. This storm was moving from my right to left and it was probably about 40 miles or so to my south.

  • @UncleGrizzo thanks for replying!!so it didnt hit your area then? was it totally silent? I would imagine at that distance it would be:) its such a beautiful scene isnt it? had you had storms the previous night?

  • How beautiful is this - the dawn chorus and a distant thunderstorm

  • So incredibly beautiful; was this storm incoming or on its way out? Must have been pretty far away as there is no audible thunder, maybe you could hear it?

  • Bird chirping and an illuminated thunderhead in the distance.

Now that's what i call a great to the day.

  • GORGEOUS! I hear robins! Love them!

  • dudes i miss thunder storms i hate winter time!

  • I like coming back to this especially in January when I want to be reminded of summer mornings.

  • I hardly ever see t-storms that early in the morning. Back in the beginning of August we had one about 6am but it wasn't a big deal.

  • Those are amazing. Like hours before those storms arrive, they are just flickering clouds out in the distance.

  • Wow, I wish I had seen that....Unfortunately I live about 200 miles south of the Twin Cities (about 6 miles south-west of Waterville, MN). Although I'd much rather be where I live now than TC. You get a better shot of lightning out here :D

  • funny im watching this at 5 am

  • This is beautiful. Absolutely. Now I'm all excited for summer!

  • The backdrop of that nice thunderhead in the background and the lightning within it, and how it's just slightly light enough to make it visible against the rest of the darkness...

It's a picture of perfection. Very nice.

  • In the morning, with the birds chirping, in the sweet air, with distant lightning. God I miss early summer.

  • no cars no people.. i would have loved that. thinking about it if i was there i would have sat out side with a cup of tea watching that!! lovely :-)

  • Dawn chorus and distant lightning: I can't think of a more serene combination.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks for watching

  • Nice structure to that cell! The lightning must have been intense that night. I can't wait for some of these morning storms this year. Take care!

  • its just a distant storm

  • Perfect footage! I love distant thunder, i agree with MsMartini8277. But its strange seeing thunder of this type in the morning. oO

  • To me, this is the perfect start to the day. I love weather like this as long as it's non destructive.

  • Yeah, I love early morning thunder!

  • Kinda creepy with the birds chirping in the background. Weird for a strong storm like this to hit Minnesota that early in the morning. Cool vid bro!

  • Wow, what a great shot, being able to see the storm clouds like that.
