Having only heard Kerry in a recording or on her album i dont think its fair for me to compare Rachel or Louise or Amanda to her, however I do think Rachel is my favourite Meat out of the latter 3 who i have seen, then Amanda Coutts (US Scara and Meat) and then Louise, she is the only one who hasnt made me cry when singing this song.

it's weird.... i went to see wicked for my birthday expecting to see kerry...and i saw CASSIDY JANSON - and absolutely LOVED her. after seeing youtube clips of kerry i really don't like her voice and was glad i saw cassidy... and therefore i FAR prefer rachel in this role....vocally at least.... not sure of the irishness of the role....but its' different.

There must be a reason why she didn't do better on IDA. Arguably, she did not have that extra something in her voice, 'body' I call it, but Jodie had less especially when she didn't belt. In this song Rachel has the high frills at the end but that 'body' is missing in the early part of the song
i see what you mean... but you can't belt out the whole song how boring would that be. it's a really nice and sad song... i think she did it perfectly.
The belting at the end, like the high riffs are more suited to this show... i think she did try to show off that but ALW told her not to.

Rachel Tucker is the best! I've seen this live-yesterday on the front row in the middle and it could have been easy for me to reach out and touch her- but i would never want to ruin her perfect performing! She is amazing! Met her at the stage door and got a pic and her autograph! She's brilliant!

In my opinion, No-one will ever beat kerry ellis, she's simply breath-taking, but this performance is still very good :) well done rachel :D

I've never been to WWRY and I'm a big fan of Kerry Ellis so I know how she does her NOBY but I absolutely loved Rachel's riffs towards the end!
I'm going to WWRY in February, will Rachel still be on then, and does she do matinees? I'd love to see her in this role!!

I genuinely don't think anyone could quite match up to Kerry - she was ridiculously outstanding, but Rachel is very good. =)
I'm not sure about when Rachel will be performing, but have fun anyway.

Rachel is contracted until September 09, so unless shes ill or on holiday I don't see why she wouldn't be performing that day.

it's weird.... i went to see wicked for my birthday expecting to see kerry...and i saw CASSIDY JANSON - and absolutely LOVED her. after seeing youtube clips of kerry i really don't like her voice and was glad i saw cassidy... and therefore i FAR prefer rachel in this role....vocally at least.... not sure of the irishness of the role....but its' different.

rachel is amazing! her voice has loads of body and she sings with such emotion!
she deserved to win id do anything, but she didnt have the big sob story or the crazy personality but was head and shoulders better than all of them!

There must be a reason why she didn't do better on IDA. Arguably, she did not have that extra something in her voice, 'body' I call it, but Jodie had less especially when she didn't belt. In this song Rachel has the high frills at the end but that 'body' is missing in the early part of the song

i see what you mean... but you can't belt out the whole song how boring would that be. it's a really nice and sad song... i think she did it perfectly.
The belting at the end, like the high riffs are more suited to this show... i think she did try to show off that but ALW told her not to.
maybe her heart wasnt in IDA - cos that role is kinda small really and not that vocally demanding.
(although it's demanding on crappy Jodie)

Maybe Rachel wasn't suited to Nancy - i can understand that (JESSIE should have won), but i think she is perfect for this song - i'm not getting this whole 'lack of body ' thing - i think she's fantastic!

I still think Kerry's better but I always will no matter who replaces her.
However, I think Rachel is well suited to the part and is doing a great job! She wasn't the right person to be Nancy (and I still don't like Jodie), she's way too good for it and so's Sam Barks.

Rachel Tucker is the best! I've seen this live-yesterday on the front row in the middle and it could have been easy for me to reach out and touch her- but i would never want to ruin her perfect performing! She is amazing! Met her at the stage door and got a pic and her autograph! She's brilliant!

I saw Rachel play Scaramouche last night as Sabrina was away. She was phenomenal, absolutely fantastic! Met her again afterwards, shes so so lovely!

thanx for this....i went to see WWRY on october the 16th and when i saw rachel was in it...i was kinda disapointed i thought WWRY had falling into getting finalist rejects to play big roles for publicty.... but when she started singing i take back all the doubt i had she was incredible!! her voice and her riffs were amazing !!!!!
