I discovered this band right before I left for 2 years in the Peace Corps in Sierra Leone, west Africa in 1983. A friend taped this album (the one pictured in this video) on cassette and it was one of the only I had with me. I played that constantly. The tape fell apart. Hearing this again transports me back to my village and warm, tropical nights far from home. Good memories.
I'm only 16 and i LOVE this band. I've been to see them a few times and actually met them. The funny thing is is when my mom was pregnant with me she used to play Aztec all the time, then when she showed it to me a few years ago i felt like i knew the music already! Wonderful music, 40 years later and they are still sounding wonderful. Plus Rex and Neil are very nice to talk to. Thank you for this song! :)
I knew Rex and Neal well in the 70s. Rex stayed with my wife Jeanne and myself in 71 when they played in Newport. I use to go into the City on business and visit Rex and his then girlfriend in the Village.
It just does not get better than this, a classic. Beautiful music that was not readily made available for public consumption when it was introduced. Thanks so much for putting it up.

Bonne toune. Encourageante. Confiante comme on devrait se sentir sur l'autoroute.

This is an awesome group that far too few know about! I saw them live in the very early 90's on Long Island! They are absolutely awesome! BobbyK
