2003/04 season. Fulham come 9th in the league. Van Der Sar, Boa Morte, Knight, Voltz, Saha, Legwinski, Clark, Sean Davis. All great players. But best of all was Steed Malbranque. No wonder Fulham declined when he left. He deserved to play for a good team like Spurs, and with him they came 5th in 2006/07. I'm a Sunderland fan, and I'm so glad we have him. He's a legend. In the 2008/08 season, Steed (no. 8) and Dean Whitehead (no.6) had a great central midfield partnership. It kept us up that year

malbranque is very similar to messi, excluding goal scoring. they both can keep the ball glued to their feet and their dribbling is very similar and both can get out of the tightest of spaces. the only thing about steed is that he is not ball gready. It may sound daft but he need to lean to shoot more often because he often gets in good positions to score but he will wait to pass the ball instead of shooting. he is a legend
