  • Nice video!!!!

  • Love it man. Very good video. Does anyone make the auto racks for Amtrak in HO scale?

  • @BLKdurangoTRAINhorns I wish they did...I haven't seen any :(

  • very nice video! loved the train pacing!

  • SWEET!!! LOVE those Amtrak Dash 8's!!

  • Id like more details about the a-t operation:

what was the shed used for (that the cars were going thru)?

how long do psgrs have to wait for their cars?

how many cars each at a dock for loading/unloading?

do amtrak crews do the switching?

  • wow the 515 love it in the phase 4

  • Is that the Hiawatha insignia on #198? Good vid.

  • great job nice

  • How fast was that going? With all those cars and auto-racks and stuff, I'm guessing that it wasn't going faster than 45 on the bridge shot.

  • @Roboman2121 yeah he probably doing around that speed in that shot. The train can get up to 70mph elsewhere on the line.

  • The Silver Star chase starting at 10:38 is exciting!!

  • thumbs up video

  • Actually I believe the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus hold the title of having the longest passenger train(s). This year's Red Unit I personally saw yesterday in Fresno, CA was 59 cars total.

  • @SF3751 ya but thats not a passenger train if the employees actually live on the train while touring. its more of a motor home.

  • Great video of the Auto Train!

  • it's amazing how amtrak puts 4 lcomotives on a trian with only 10 cars and then puts only 2 on a 45/46 CAR TRAIN!

  • great vid and wonderful pace scenes

  • Nice video!!!

  • Great video, especially the woman at 2:55

  • @roundhouser haha. I knew someone would comment on that eventually. Yeah she was pretty hot :)

  • @roundhouser the hot woman is at @3:25 !!!!! JS' id tap dat.....

  • @EVANws987 haha...was wondering when someone would commit on that to lol. Big gurls need love too lol

  • I really do enjoy your awesome videos. Thanks so much for sharing!

  • @disturbed1954 thanks!

  • I notice around 11:32 the video starts getting digital chunks in it. Was that the camera? Or the processing? Otherwise video looks really good. What kind of camera?

  • Nice! I can see you love to catch this train! I've never caught it from the outside.

  • yup yup yup.....those diesels are pulling 45 heavyweights....

  • What is transported in wagons to the end and why so many of them?

  • @dominikdanio111 the passenger's vehicles are carried in those cars. They will let you load SUV's, vans, cars, and motorcycles. You have to have a vehicle to ride this train. Amtrak has specs on their website on what vehicles are allowed on this train.

  • great stuff

  • I'm loving the Hiawatha logo on 198.

  • Great video! I love watching Amtrak trains! I especially love the Phase V paint scheme on the AMD-103/P42's. Looks like an F40PH doing the switching. Excellent! The auto train is especially long.

  • (1st shot) Damn that is one weird looking bridge!!

  • Excellent film

  • Wow 45 cars all pulled by 2 P42's! Great video and I'm liking the bits of extra edits to make them more complete. Keep up the great work!

  • @prorobo I thought the same thing... that seems like a lot of cars for two locos. The coast starlight has 10 to 12 cars and it has two P42's.

  • @jmdhintz yeah 2 P42's are standard for Auto Train. But also remember that Auto Train doesn't have to face any steep grades like the Starlight or any of the other western long distance trains.

  • great video !!!!!!

  • thats pretty goddamn impressive

  • How long does it take for the Auto Train to be assembled and loaded (including the cars)?
