You shouldn't. I'll give you my opinion. People shouldn't be good people because of a god. They should be good to be GOOD. Have principles, ideals, and morals. But create them on your own or with the example of others based on what you find is right. Following what someone says to do blindly is not being a good person. It is simply obeying with the prospect of others telling you that you are good because of it. I think that people should do what they do because they believe it's right. Reply?=)

That;s what I believe. But every time I bring that discussion up to a fellow Christian, they blow it off saying thats why they do it , cuz thye know it's right. But I know some of these people that I asked; they'd be doing other things if it weren't for the idea of a God.

To me, I believe there's a God somewhere. Maybe not what we believe in, maybe it is. But there has to be a constant that created the universe. Either that constant was a pile of chemical soup,God, or the universe itself.

iPodRockerr...What Dustin is saying is that he is there too. But he is not going to give up listening to his heart. You should not give up either. If things are not going well just remember Pain is the thing that moves us in the direction we need to go.

i think he's trying to explain how on one hand he wants to believe in God, but on the other hand, there are things in his life that disprove this. so he says he's due for a miricle, wich will outprove everything that disproves his belief in god. if that makes sense? :)

I think its not so much god he is trying to believe in God as much as he is trying to find some kind of truth. remember, he said "I studied saints AND scholars both, but no perfect planned unfurled." Even though he has studied logical and spiritual thinkers, he has no answers that works for him.
