Forensicsguy in your audio the recording of supposed shock 2 and 3 happen within the same second. Shock 2 may have been the officers finger slipping of the trigger, and then holding it for the true 2nd shock. The less than a 1/2 second shock was probably considered by the officers mind part of the 2nd shock. The device will shock for 5 whole seconds if you hold the trigger. Sound should have been different for 1st shock too since doors open, rest won't. Why do all 3 sigs look the same? Hum?

I am an EMT and Law Enforcement Officer. If you truly want to understand, learn about excited delirium syndrome and educate yourself about the effects of energy on the heart. I have study 500+ hours on these subjects and more, not to mention my own reading of studies from scholarly sources including those that look at deaths. I was shocked by the taser myself twice in training, but I would not let someone test my firearm on me. I think a taser if an option, it is a very safe choice.

What an asshole. Yes, amps are what kill you. However, every time you double voltage, you only need half the amps to cause the same damage. If an appliance needs 10 amps at 110 volts to operate, it only needs 5 amps to operate at 220 volts, and so on. So, with that established, Imagine the FRACTION of an amp it would take at 50,000 volts (and this is direst current, which is even stronger than Alternating..) to kill, considering it only takes one amp to kill. the human body is a complex entity

You have to look at it from what the officers knew at the time, a man in an airport (a sensative place to be lossing your temper) is yelling at police holding a chair up like he is going to throw it (a chair is weapon when you do that), and refusing to cooperate with police, the police did exactly what they were trained to do. Hey the taser expels .76 Joules of energy whereas a defribulator expels a minimum of 100 joules to 400 joules of energy. The taser also emits only .004 amp. Thats 4 thousandths of 1 amp. No they cant! The taser has no amperage in it. Amperage is what kills people, not volts. There have been thousands of idependent studies done on the taser (many by anti-taser groups), they have all concluded that the taser is NON-LETHAL. correct. All electric has amps; if you decrease the resistance, you increase the amperage - Ohm's Law. A person sweating and rapid heart beat will have less resistance, thus generating higher current with the supplied voltage. Bottom line is you can never know the resistance factor of anyone so you can't know how much amperage will be generated. That's dangerous and insane.
