  • Left handed system?

    Never seen that before

  • just arrived.

  • can you hive us a riview of the pro flight yoke system and throtle quadrent

  • Hi, i see it's a old review, do you still use this one? Did you find any buggs or problems in the meanwhile until now? :)

  • Great joystick. The profile editor is good (When you update it to current revision) and the drivers need to be updated online aswell but other than that it feels great and is very enjoyable.

  • DOES IT WORK WITH VISTA?

  • @snipingace34 yes

  • its a great joy stick

  • The Drivers for W7 64 are horribly broken

  • Is this compatible with all computers?

  • this one is for lefthandeds

  • You can get it for 49$ now! Mine comes in friday. :D

  • Does it work with mac???

  • where did you find a throtle for the right hand

  • and one question, my yoke is getting a bit lose after some long flight hours, which still works as it used to do before but is that something I need to worry about?

  • I have the same joystick and it is awesome

  • Did u see the guy who bashed it to the driveway? I'm getting mine next 14 days. Really shitfaced scared :( Does the twist fail? and are there limits to it? Should I put a hub or plug it to the USB on the laptop directly? urgent to response. Thanks

  • can any body tell me how can i install it????

    i have a CD

  • @garmin65 Plug in the X52. Insert CD. Install drivers, if the LED's come on and the light on the MFD comes on then it works

  • @RainbowManification thanks, you don't need a CD i have see a video

  • hey dude iv'e been trying to get this ansewer does it work with ww2 aircraft by that i mean aircraft with propelers please ansewer

  • Does the Saitek X52 joystick have the force feed back? Thanks

  • @mrwiggly29 It does not.

  • Does this have force feedback

  • @fsinte11997

    Nope.

  • @fsinte11997 No.

  • how do you get a left handed model? I'm a righty, but im just curious

  • haha nice reference to the guy that detroys saitek remotes

  • Can't really say that was balanced now can you lad?

    No, no you can't.

  • If i have a basic Saitek joystick with force feedback do you really need something like this? It has LEDs and about 9 other buttons

  • hey guys, ive been trying to find out y exactly the mouse controll blue thing on my throttle quadrant isnt working or the mouse button or the scroll. its detected on the mfd but in the sims, it wont detect it. plz help

  • ill never be able to afford that :(

  • @thehazzer09 Agreed.

  • @thehazzer09 $85 on amazon.

  • But now you don't only feature flight simulation content, so you ruined it.

  • I just bought this 4 days ago and the T5-T6 LED on the joystick went out so that sucks.

  • great review man. humorous, nicely thought out, and very to the point.

sadly most things online are not.

keep up the fine work man

  • omg one of my kind ur a lefty

  • man i thinking that you quit the video but you are kidding good review i like it

  • @fighter742 $60 at bestbuy ;)

  • Hello... I've had this joystick for nearly a year, and right now I can't use the rotatory axis (or whatever it's called, it's normally used for the rudder) because it goes hella crazy moving all over. Also, at first, the Y axis (elevator) suddenly went all the way down, although that was a cable problem and I could easily solve it... Still couldn't solve the first mentioned problem since that one has a more complicated device in the stick. ANYWAY

  • ...I can't complain, it's well known that some X52s had various cable/electric supply problems, so that's another context. This HOTAS is AWESOME, you get truly surprised at how many damn functions, commands, macros etc. you can assign. It's a really helpful system, as well as its software. ONLY thing I could never fix or find an answer for is that the stopwatch is a bit faster than normal, like 7 seconds faster per minute... Has this happened to anyone else? I'd be glad if someone has an answer!

  • Cessna154, how easy is it to program the buttons for a variety of games???

  • I was wondering if this flight stick work for ArmA 2 running on Windows 7?!

    Thanks!

  • were did yu get the left handed version

  • does this work on mac's

  • no you dont need to download anything to get it working, its ready out of the box

  • Just tell me how to set up the clock? I know the rest because I own it.....

  • @EndoskeletonT700

Make sure the drivers are installed. Go to the control panel, game controllers, click "properties" with the x52 selected. Go to the MFD tab and look down. Depending on your drivers, the first one may or may not be permanently set at GMT (I think my old driver allowed it to be changed, but not my current one). Once the time is set, press the up and down arrows to change what time zone you're looking at. Don't forget you have a stopwatch with the function button.

  • ... most hardware allows you do download drivers, if you can't download drivers it's a bad product. So I would say you will be fine. It will come with a CD too.

  • ceesna quick question about the throttle quadrant iv noticed that one would work for my right hand because i control the stick with my left hand could you tell me how i can find this version because al the ones i see or for the left hand??

  • hey cessna is the cyborg x a good stick?

  • Haha I bought this for my dad 20mins ago. Cost me 140$ plus tax.

  • geeezz

    thats way overpriced

  • That's canadian dollars.

  • Its a pretty good stick. I have never had any problems with mine. It has plenty of buttons and is lighted with a blue LED.

  • i lov ur humor lawl

  • any one know any good jet like games i could use this on? plz reply any help is appreciated.

    Brian

  • FSX, H.A.W.X.

Though i don't know how good the latter is.

  • do you still use it. i have it. i think i got it last christmas

  • Comment removed

  • For heavy use this joystick is terrible. The rudder on mine broke after moderate over only a couple months. I have heard countless reports from other gamers who have had this PoS break on them. CH Products makes the most reliable flight sim equipment available today.

  • @Statler86 - And all their sticks are at least 6 years old. The mechanical gimbal base common to all their sticks is more like 12 years old.

  • Are you left handed because the throttle quadrant is reverse?

  • can u make a video on how to program the buttons it would realy make this easyer

  • is the thortle wrongwayround? ... or does this video have some mirrors effect?

  • its for left hand flyers

  • i think the whole vid is backwards if u look at pictures

  • X52 here, I'm really satisfied with it!

  • I bought it in 2006 for $120 Australian dollars, at the same time as I bought FSX. Good review :P

  • Ive got the Saitek 3D cyborg gold or something and this makes it look like total crap

  • You skipped the most important part of the review - how easy is it to configure? Are there an abundance of profiles available? I have an X52 PRO, which is a nightmare in those regards.

  • this is a great joystick if you are looking

for the best get this one the x52 pro

is the same thing i think but with more

buttens and costs more 130 bucks

so this one is 90 bucks or so if it ant broke dont fix it i never have any issues

    with this one

  • how does this compare to the ms force feedback 2?

  • how long u had this x52 for? im asking coz i wanna buy a reliable product that doesn't wobble or have free play ( like my garbage logitech 3d pro which i had for 3 months- have to set all axis deadzones to 20%)

  • Me peronally, i just got it and i wont be lookin in to getting any other one, cause the joystick alone is sweet with all the buttons you can you and the XYZ axis is so light, so it doesnt strain yoiu hand in trying to put back or forward. id get it man.

  • I have the Saitek Cyborg Evo, it works very well for flight simulator.

  • I got X52 pro, whats the differences between these two?

  • does this work with vindows vista

  • How does this work with vista?

  • any windows more than XP!

  • This guy is wrong, I had problems and Im a flight sim vet. The reason I bought this was because my previous x45 broke after my room mate spilled juice on it....

The rudders are glitchy, the tension for the throttle broke ! and the force on the joystick itself feels too light and arcady...

  • is this combatable with consoles like the xbox?

  • no

Saitek have made a version of the AV8R for Xbox though. ive has the PC one for a year and its held out. good enough for £17.

  • hey, my friend bought this a while ago and all the features of this joystick are actually pretty good, everything on the thrust quadrant work very well. the only problem i have with this joystick is that the joystick itself, its very lose.. i could use my pinkie and push it all the way to the side without the base moving much. where as my JS which would tip over like right away lol. i prefer a tighter and harder js. this 1s to easy to move. thanks for listening and doing this review ^_^

  • i have this its good use it for aceshigh2

  • um the multi function display... i need help with using it...

  • got it

  • i got mine yesterday and i like it but sence I am not very good with computers so i can't figure out how to chage which buttons do what. if anyone could please help me it would be great.

  • I'm getting one for Mech 4 and 5 :)

  • Where did you buy your controler from(a british shop)

  • I got mine from Fry's Electronics. I have had a Saitek Cyborg Evo for 8 Years atleast, and it has been Strong ever since. So Knowing how long the Evo lasts, There is a good chance that this could last even longer while constantly used.

Not to mention that you will Really Get Drawn into your game a lot more when using both hands! XD

  • thanks for the review, i have now made my mind up and i am deciding to buy one. Thankyou

  • wait. is the throttle quadrant on left or right or is there two different models

  • does this work on a Mac?

  • nope

  • Hmm... I bought this Saitek X52 today... And I have a problem... Can the throttle go reverse?

  • no, unless you select the nil zone, not sure cuz i never tried it but should be logical.

  • Oh I was trying to configure it for FSX... And I can set it to reverse when it reach 0%-1%.

But now my Joystick is not responding, but the power button is lit.

Anyways, thanks for you reply. ;]

  • what do those 3 bottons on the joystick do?

  • how comes it cost less in walmart and then the saitek site and bestbuy??

  • because someone broke it first then walmart is trying to sell it

  • does the saitek cyborg x joystick have a twist feature to control rudders??please relpy

  • I have the pro, its amazing! the only complaint i have is that it is super expensive... the Pro has a awesome MFD. It allows you to change radios, auto pilot, nav radios, ect, ect

  • IS This a Left Handed Model or am i tripping Are They All Left Handed I Have Seen Right Handed But this OOne Is all backwards

  • probobly the camera is one of those reverse image ones. When i got my x52...yesterday the throttle was left handed.

  • thats gay fsx is better with an xbox 360 controller

  • lol I got bad luck, couldnt find the 360 controller for windows but I found the saitek cyborg controller so I got that. 2 days later I found the 360 controller in a shop I was pissed. XD can you turn the right stick into the mouse?

  • you can customize it

  • Ive got it, but ive got a quesion:

Wich switch controls the flaps.I know gear is T1 "DOWN" and fire button is change views. Can you help me?

Oh the rudder block is awesome too!

  • can you ageist the sping thing so its not so loos

i think im going to buy it

  • I have that unit and it is excellent.

  • the pro has some metal parts, has reverse thrust, the display screen can actually be used for radio etc, better springs. cant be bothered to list the rest.

    you get the idea

  • just bought a used one off my friend for $55. One of the best investments i've made in a looong time.

  • Yeah, what is the difference between the two? I fail to see any difference besides colors.

  • The Pro is made of metal, and has a fully functional MFD

  • what is the big diference betwenn the standard and the pro can you send me a message.

  • The Pro is made of metal, and has a fully functional MFD

  • got the same unit so far no complaints

  • Thanks for your input!

  • @Cessna154 LOL "its made out of plastic as is everything else in this world" haha its funny cuz its true items wise and most people wise hahaa

  • @Cessna154 Do you use the Saitek x52 for all your videos? or do you use the Saitek Yoke? or do you use something else? haha

  • @hildre2007 is it good? still

  • "Its made out of plastic." Wow.....

  • you dont have a video? OMG...

  • how much is dat joystickk??

  • ITS $100.. IN BEST BUY..

  • left handed?

i didnt know they had a leftie version

  • i agree with the vid it is the best joystick stick but out of the other equipment i like saitek's yoke and throttle control they also got some other fancy stuff in the pro flight range but im getting the X-52 because it looks so freaking awesome preferrably the HOTAS version any idea how far the will set me back?

  • awesome is that that the HOTAS X52?

  • how many buttons/swiches/controls assets/what ever you call them are on the throttle and how many are on the stick

  • your voice sounds different than all the other videos

  • i have a saitek yoke and throttle. i can never go back to joysticks ever again

  • what joystick would you reccomend for FSX

  • i got mine from amazon and it was £75.99

  • i got mine for 50 pounds

  • its that heavy:P lol jk i know what your saying thats expensive

  • me too exact place and price i love it

  • Me too 20 dollars well spent

  • i have one of these

  • i've Got A Saitek Cyborg EVO

  • i have the st290 pro too.

  • i have a saitak st290 pro

  • Wts the point of having two Pan aound switches?

  • If you mean the "Hat switches" there are actually 3 of them... (one is on the back of the throttle)

But since you have 3 modes on the joystik you actually have 6...

And since there is a "SHIFT"-state for each mode you actually have 12 hat-switches. ;)

There is a reason it's called HOTAS.

    (Hands On Throttle And Stick)

  • Why didn't you get the x52 Pro

  • I Got the saiteck cyborg evo wireless

  • does it have reverse thrust?

  • The "thrust-control" goes from 0-100 and snaps over the 25% and 75% regions. This allows both reverse thrust section and After-burner. The "snaps" are a bit hard to overcome, so any fine-tuning over those regions is a bit difficult.

  • me too lol =D

  • If anybody wants to break it, just send it to me. I want it.

  • you shouldbe a comedian. lol, dont smash it with a hammer lol, i saw tht one =D

  • Which elctronic store have the cheapest price?

  • the last 3 comments were supposed to be reply's to ppl's comments but i dont think it worked and idk how to delete em lol my bad

  • Does it have Reverse Thurst??

  • unfortunatly no, BUT if u know how to use the profile editor u can set (i use the precision slider (by your left thumb)) 3 different "bands" to an axis and have one band as blank the middle as F1 and the one u want for thrust reverse as F2. When u slide it into the F2 percentage area that u programed, it will "hold down" F2 and serve as a thrust reverser. and when u slide it back it will move across the F1 band, to idle the engines, and stay in the blank area so it doesnt keep pressing F1 or F2.

  • Yes i Get Annoyed With mine but i dont break it =) I Just Punch my wall =)

  • :O did u break the wall :O hope its ok :O :O :O

  • thats because your not calibrating it

  • Gosh, it ownz my Cd-r King

  • that is a lot of replies... good job :)

  • omg im gonna cry. my desktop just died

  • My it rest in peace, I feel bad for you!

  • does this have force feed back

  • Hmm mine doesn't have FF. Maybe the PRO edition has but the normal version doesn't.

    HNY!

  • thanks and i have to take it into the shop tomorrow cos it isnt even very old and it will cost so much *cries*

  • yea

you have 2 calabriate it and when it says leave it centered

center it and it wil be centered

  • If You want to shut the rudder axis off, there is this little "switch" on the right side at the bottom of the stick....if you pull it out (it won't fall off completely don't worry) the stick can't be twisted anymore.

Its a great feature if you use rudder pedels!

    HNY!

  • i have rudder pedals so i use the twist sometimes for left to right viewing in the cockpit--just thought id share that :)

  • why don't you use the POV hat? is much easier :-)

  • Well I'm sitting here with X52 in front of me, and one of them are backwards. The one in the vid is a perfect mirror image.

  • YOU ARE GREAT at presenting something! i just like the way you say everything to the point like "don't break it and you wont have problems" Great absolutely GREAT!!!! and you do deserve the Subscriptions awesome job man, keep it up!

  • Thanks! I appreciate the compliments and feedback!

  • would of been good to see video instead of images, is this a good joystick for fsx?

  • i love it

  • umm lets see he mostly makes fsx vids and does good landings and he uses this joystick

    i would guess yes

  • Yes, video would be better, but I did it this way...

  • i got this...its amazing

  • thanks for the info/review! Now, when I recover financially from Christmas, I'll know a good control device for my flight-simming pleasure! :-)

  • thank you for making this video!
