How did all the marine sediments get raised up to 7000 above sea level, with some desert sands mixed in between. They alway worry about how long it took to cut, not how long it took to make the 44 distinct layers.

The dunes are underwater borrne dunes The Super Group are likely Day 3 layers tilted when uplifted. The 10,000 feet (not 5,000) of sedimentary layers laid down by water above them were flood sediments. 5,000 feet of these have been removed for 1,000's of square miles -global flood. This is seen in the Grand Staircase -look it up
