I always used to feel bad everytime I beat him. (I replayed this level a lot.) Seeing his cracked and stuff, then explode. Made me sad. But I still think, to this very moment, THIS boss was harder than Bowser in the final boss. My opinion.

I despise underwater levels too. If you surface while swimming, those fishes never attack. Then I look for the red shell for better aim. 

Another horrible underwater level is racing shadow Mario while swimming.

It took me about 6 or 7 tries to beat Kingfin because of the following reasons:

1. I kept running out of air

2. Kingfin's minions kept attacking me

3. I swam past the sulfur thing
