Cuz it doesn't work that easily, if you don't have the proper heaters set up on the fuel tank. And if you don't start and stop the engine on conventional fuel, you will plug all your injectors.
That clattering is caused by the detonation of the fuel pinging the cylinder wall. wvo doesn't burn fast enough or completely hence less power and a smoother noise.Maybe you dont have a good running car, when i run my car on (i just ran 10 gallons through t5his week from t-day turkeys) veggie there is a noticable decrease in power. Id go biodiesel.
If you can run biodiesel in a common rail engine, it aint going to hurt anything. These cars are just to great in my opinion to do all this gay shit to. It takes away the dignity of the car. I dont understand why people dont just go biodiesel, sure, youll have to process it. But you dont have to screw up your injection pump or engine and dont have to jerry rig a bunch of shit into your car.
Biodiesel is superior to wvo. You think wvo is better for the engine than biodiesel or wvo just becuase its quiet and runs smoother? Ive run wvo (1 gallon test tank under hood) and the car runs with less power and less noise.
Biodiesel has to be heated up to a really high temp in order to burn, thats why they call it biodiesel, and thats why they run it only in diesel cars, ticking time bomb? load of bullshit for the gullible person, the car will not explode like gasoline, and more importantly,
how the fuck does a car supposed to explode when rear ended when biodiesel is helluva lot less volatile????
Gullible huh? You need to attend anger management classes. Do you think that cursing and insulting someone is an efficient way to educate them about something so important to society? Are you telling me that if an F350 crashed into the back of his benz that he wouldn't be covered head to toe in biodiesel - as well as the interior of his car? And are you saying that if sparks from the accident were present, which they commonly are, that the fuel would not ignite?
about the anger bit, because, a funny as may seem, I was perfectly calm as wrote that and, please, don't jump to conclusions, as I own a diesel Benz currently running bio.
thank you for reading this message and have a nice day
P.S.if you would like to talk about this some more, please confine it to a private message
why do many people run these old mercedes diesels. Are they cheap to run or reliable? My dad just runs bio in his golf diesel as it modern and economical.
Hell yea! Hey benzlover, what car do you have. I had a 1984 w123 that got totaled at 289 thousand miles, still ran like a clock. I now have a 1985 w123 300d turbo
my 85 300d has 119k on her. I got it for 1500 bucks! Minto condition, no cracks on dash perfect wood perfect paint. I want to drive one of those late 80's diesels to see how much more power they have, im guessing it still isnt much. But thats not the point with these cars. Their meant for relaxed cruising
I've thought about modifying my car to run WVO, but decided to process the WVO into biodiesel in advance to that I don't have to modify the car at all.
Why make it so complicated. You get some chip fat fryer oil, strain it and get all the crap out of it and stick it in your tank. Sorted.

Awesome! It's cool he didn't have to mess with methanol and lye but that is still a bit complicated.

Note: Fuel lines and fuel should be outside of the interior of the car for everyones safety...
ladefreakndah 5 years ago
hardly afects safety just like diesel you could drop a neked flame in it and it would burn not explode.
think about it if bio is so dangerous burger king must be a ticking time bomb
