@BeTheBe5t in the first month no...but after that you can call for a telephone public, like one time per week, and after the basic training, you can by a cell phone and a computer....you have vacancy one time at year, but you have to use your real name to go out of france

I want to be a sniper because I was a good shot in the Marines, what are the requirements? Is there anything I should know to help me pass the selection interview process? I have a tattoo on my neck (below the collar line) will they still accept me? Should I buy a roundtrip plane ticket LOL? After 3 years when I become a citizen can I move my wife and kids to France? If you can answer these questions for me bro I'd appreciate it. Semper Fi brother.

@m249a1 when you enter to the legion, in several times they gone to ask you what do you want to do (Sniper, tank driver, paratrooper, sapper, machine gunner, anti-tank rocket launcher, armoured vehicle driver) and you always has to say sniper, and in the test of shoting, wel, do it right, and with time, they send you to do the course of sniper, to help you that they select you, you must show that do you really want to be a legionaire, you have to convence them of that, always say the same things

@m249a1 dude i was there and they asked us what we wanted to do,one french lad said sniper and they laughed at him,i didnt understand most,but my mate cud speak 4 or 5 languages,he said the corpral chief was makin fun of the fact he wanted to be a sniper that he was a dreamer,say u want to be a legionaire and that u wanted to join an elite force that will give u the chance to use the skills your taught,i said that and the corpal chief looked me in the eyes nodded and said good answer.simple

Germans massively joined the FFL right after WWII not before and less since. It's known that you just have to look where are the troubled countries on the world map to guess where come most of new recruits in the FFL.

Therefor this days it's mostly from Eastern Europe and Africa. Apparently they have an increase of Kurdes and middle eastern candidates this times.

I think you're mixing facts. Germans only massively joined the FFL after WWII but not from the start.

To make a long story short: after the French Rev a huge part of the royalist FRENCH army exiled in monarchies around like the Holy Roman Empire (now Germany, Austria, etc).

From then some fought with FOREIGN uniforms against the republican Napoleonian French army. One regiment of exiled units in Austria, the Regiment de Hohenlohe, gave many of today's FFL customs and insignias.
