  • I have a Victor disk andi never liked her voice.BUT THIS is exceptional.Wondefully expressive andi like her timbre and color.Maybe i better find more.she had a huge reputation with public and musicians.This si wonderful from Frauenliebe.Wouldlove to hear her liederkreiss.

  • Lehmann was anti Nazi. She refused the honour of being Rechs Kammersängerin offered to her when Hitler was in power and consequently moved to the US.

  • Hmmm ... I dunno about their choice of adding a string quartet to the arrangement. It turned master-pianist Schumann's accompaniment into "The Little Rascals" at certain points.
