guys so many people down eq because they play it now and to tell you the truth i cry every time i go back now because Sony ruined it. they made it all 1 big grind it used to be unique. It had that one special thing no other mmo has and will capture and that is the friendship quality of it. i made more friends over a game then i have in 13 years(yes i am 13) and even though i am 13 it is sad but i started playing eq when i was 6 and always wish it would be the same again but that is not happening
you can play for free, i made a video how. it's so cool, places like BB and GFAY have like, almost TOO many people in them. it's awesome though. WTB SOW PST!

This server is everything I could ask for in a classic EQ server plus it's pvp and free =) You can download EQ Titanium needed to play from "ThePirateBay" from bit torrent and from there follow the instructions that comes with the file (the 3.39 GiB file) After you follow the instructions the server is called Tallon Zek. I'm having a blast and getting all my friends to play. Theres about 150-200 people now but it's going to grow fast!

Old school EQ is trying to sell your items in the EC tunnel, or running away from Sgt Slate, or back in the day when the Ghoulbane was an uber weapon, hunting in blackburrow, the chessboard, tryng to survive raids in Plane of hate or fear, being wiped out and having a massive corpse retrival, that was old school EQ!
Old EQ was befor Sol......Befor Sol came out...you were on a boat with a rusty sword and 30 other friends tryin to make it into freeport...or runnin trains on the higher levels that would not give you any plat. Good old days...now EQ i bet is a lame and washed out.

@raenonaxemire you should try project 99 its a private server meant to be like everquest when it came with very minor updates
its very good but i only see about 600 people on at a time

oh yea, EQ was still in it's prime until luclin and that Bazaar crap came out. Then we had nothing but farmers, the ecomony went to crap, people didn't like Sony spoiling the new players which they did wtih all that teleport bs.
There were still people joining the game then once PoK hit, then it turned to crap, so many people left including me as well.
