in my govt. class, we do many current events and have discussions based on them, some which get us off track such as this one, but well, they are informational nonetheless. so the teacher brought it up, how the collider is said to be messed with by some future control, or is self-inhibiting.

I couldn't believe it at first - that this is actually the explanation the scientists were offering. And then, to realize they are serious...
