I don't think ending DADT is a good idea. I predict that if they do, they will still have some sort of restrictions on open behaviour of the homosexual persuasion. The military will probably make restrictions on public displays of affection more stringent on everyone. I think a good compromise would be to keep DADT, BUT eliminate any ability to penalize a military person for being gay. The changes probably will not be fully what the homosexual activists are looking for.

There were similar surveys done in Australia, Canada and Great Britain, with similar numbers, before they allowed gays to openly serve in the military. All the fears and claims turned out to be totally unfounded and baseless.

Dont Ask, Dont Tell was instituted by President Bill Clinton. Before that, it was illegal to be gay in the military, PERIOD. He opened the door for gay people to serve. It was a logical step at the time and it did a lot of good. It gave countless soldiers the opportunity to serve without anyone else being allowed to question their sexuality. I don't think ending DADT is a good idea. I predict that if they do, they will still have some sort of restrictions on open behaviour of the homosexual persuasion. The military will probably make restrictions on public displays of affection more stringent on everyone. I think a good compromise would be to keep DADT, BUT eliminate any ability to penalize a military person for being gay. The changes probably will not be fully what the homosexual activists are looking for.

iam not sure why it matters. my wife joined the navy at age 18 and she was taken advantage of by her commanding officer. and other commanders came on to her as well. none of the men seem to have a problem with having athority over young women. fucking perverts. these are the people in charge of your defence. having sex in the military? i feel much much less safe after hearing this history of my wife in the navy. no such thing as honor anymore. its already a joke in my eyes.
