when you look at satellite imaging it is clear that clear cutting causes this, it's like the scabbing of the forest. or leveling out of the forest (any one that grows plants knows that when you have short plants next to larger plants it causes the larger plants to grow shitty). clear cutting should be banned for selective logging. are forests are basically doomed.
The beetle infestation is due to all the logging and transporting of those logs through BC, beetles can fly off logging trucks carrying infested wood. Some say that's not true but they don't know Jack. It is causing the problem. Back in Sask we don't transport wood because of dutch elm disease. If BC didn't rape their forests so bad all for profit there wouldn't be such a problem.
the thing that concerns me with the environment is the WATER..i think we are literally DRINKING other peoples pharmaceuticals they piss out..it's disgusting..there's no way they can get all that crap out..mercury, etc..THAT is my environmental concern

Those beatles have a natural preditor .. they need to find what it is, and put them in that area.. If they weren't always logging they may not have that problem, those trees look like re-plants. I wonder if the original trees were logged out? ?? ?

My father siad that they come from Germany or somewhere there. when the tress showed up, they started killing a bunch of realy nice pine trees. My father blamed those inviroment tree huggers not getting rid of those tress, since those firsts affect tress did not get chopped down, the beetle spread like wild fire. My parents where saying that we need -40+c weather last over a week to kill most of them etc

We lost a lot to pine beetles. Then we had huge fires. They started a program to cut dead trees. No reports on how it ended.

One of the benefits from increased CO2 is that it will help tree (and all plants on earth) grow faster. Remember CO2 is food for plants.
