I drove 3 hours from Cleveland Ohio to Cincinnati to see Tool, they only played 9 songs and there set was the same for that whole tour but it was still good. Ive seen Tool 7 times and they sounded great and hope to have a new Tool album out soon

They were fucking amazing. I went to the one in Cincinnati, August 7th. Sold out in 15 minutes, had to pay $230. For one ticket. If you were there, you'd understand. My first concert EVER. Now, everything elso just sucks lol

They closed the set last night with this tune in Pomona. Maynard was on crutches the whole time. I think Maynard likes to close with this tune and have the audience have a go. I think its just for this tour..he did it last night.

Man what the hell is up with maynard skipping the last verse of vicarious all the time now. I remember when i went to see them and i was anticipating that moment so bad and he just skipped it. Tool used to be my fav man, but come on i dont pay to hear the fucking audience sing his song.

Perhaps you haven't read or seen any interviews with him on that topic. Sometimes he has a tough time with his voice on tour and can't handle some of the more intense parts all the time. It's definitely not something you should be mad at him for.

I was at the NH show lastnight...they opened with Jambi, then (not in exact order), Stinkfest, Rosetta stoned, Schism, Anema, Latarelus, Vicarious, and one or two others...kinda a short set, but they sounded amazing as always

I'm a huge fan, but you're right. He has no passion. I use to give him a pass for not caring about the fans as long as he gave 110% to his vocal performance. Now he won't even sing the climax of Vicarious for the show closure. Come on dude, either sing or lower the $70 per ticket charge.

I was @ this show. This was the first time i got to see them. And i was so impressed! Now i see why they stress that performing live is so important. Because their performance, did have a lasting impression on me!! The best show i've been to so far. And also i wanted to point out, that i noticed that their music, LIVE is so much heavier. Especially the bass, it just blew me away!!!

Saw them in San Antonio friday night, and by no means am i trying to sound gay but maynard was overdressed. He was wearing some weird ass suit but did have his mohawk straight up. For example, he only wore jeans when I saw them in austin back in 07. I think it brings a better effect to the show....but thats just me.

Sounds great, although I'm disappointed Maynard isn't singing the last lines. I'm sure he would if he still had it in him though. Overall I'm pumped to see them this tour.

He's not quite the singer he was 10 years ago, certanly not hitting and holding the big screams now....but in the case of Vicarious, I think it's far more to do with the audience singing those specific lines, illustrating the point of the song. I've seen him perform the whole ending, and I've also seen it where the audience sing the first part, and he returns the "much better you than I", which again, is the idea, I think, of him telling us we're all like that and he's happy we're admitting it
