@EliteBusJr Thank god. That's one thing that sucks about the Marines, is a lot of them think they are the toughest mother fuckers in the military even if they have some POG ass job. My Platoon Sgt (Airborne Infantry 82nd) had some Marine Generator mechanic start talking shit to him. To me it doesn't matter what branch you're in, it's about your training and your job. You might be in the USAF, but you could be a combat controller in SOF.You could also be a cook in the USMC. Army Infantry E5

@666BurningHate Two different branches of the Armed Forces, like the Air Force and Navy too. The Army and USMC each have their own structure, training, equipment, leadership and administration, they have to manage their own budget and each branch essentially competes (at the desk-jockey level) for the government's money. The Army form the bulk force for land based operations, the Marines form the expeditionary unit, and normally deploy from the sea, aircraft carriers etc.

Used to live 8 miles from Camp Merrill in Dahlonega. It's out in the middle of nowhere off some road that twists and turns through mountain terrain. As a visitor, I felt very cut off from the rest of the world. I can imagine the students feel the same.

Why does everyone have to compare. It all depends on teh individual, there are people in Recon, Ranger, Seals, SFOD-D, that can kick ass. But the "Elite" unit is so called the Delta Force. The Delta force is a mixture of all Special Operations units. THey all have to have an experience of 2 years minimum and are not aloud to announce themselves and are used fo rthe most Cover missions. They are the only ones in the military to have facial hair to blend in with the "crowd".

@skah07 No branch of the U.S. military uses airsoft, ever. They're using blanks. The Ranger instructors designate who's "dead/wounded" Airsoft is for children, wannabes, and losers who never had the balls to join. The U.S. military uses blanks and simunitions.

Professionals do not let notions cloud their judement when interacting in operations. Officers and Senior enlisted members are not permitted to do so. Each branch brings an effectiveness to the battlefield and their respective service men and women all contribute to bring every hostile threat to zero.

Competition is effective, however this has come down to conflicts that have risen in intensity in our modern operating forces. Our Section Chief SSgt was formerly a Combat Aircrew Chief GySgt but after an altercation with several Soldiers he was f**ked over by Joint Tribunal. Gangs exist within our branches and they advance the competition violently. RIP PFC SP III.
