  • That very helpful, I was diagnosed with type one diabetes three weeks ago almost exactly and I have been looking at those. Would you recommend it for someone under 18?

  • @SnoopyAceFlyer well welcome to the club! i am very positive when it come to being diabetic, so i will not be saying the typical "i'm sorry to hear that"... but to answer your question, yes i would reccomend it for you, and for anyone as young as 12 years old - depending on the person. That being said. I will strongly recommend the dexcom CGM device over the Omnipod device if it is one or the other. Ideally, you should get both, but it can be expensive depending on your insurance coverage.

  • I am wondering your fasting blood sugar, postprandial blood sugar and A1C level ?? Can you say me these parameters which belong to you ??

And which type of diabetes have you got ??

  • @SUSSTURUCU I have Type I diabetes - diagnosed in 1993. My A1C levels are between 5.9 - 6.4. The fasting blood sugar and postprandial blood sugar, well I am not sure of what the significance of those would be especially when you know the A1c levels, but my blood sugars are typically between 80-150.

  • @DiabeticReview I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND SOMETHiNG...

YOU USE THE FAST ACTİNG İNSULİN..

IF YOU WANT,CAN YOU DECREASE YOUR A1C LEVEL MORE THAN 5,9 ??

FOR EXAMPLE CAN YOU MAKE YOUR A1C LEVEL 4,8 ???

AND YOU MUST BE CAREFUL FOR POSTPRANDİAL BLOOD SUGAR..

İT İS MORE İMPORTANT THAN A1C..

MY MUM WAS DİAGNOSED NEUPROPATHY WİTH 6,5 A1C LEVEL..

BECAUSE HER POSTPRANDİAL BLOOD SUGAR ALWAYS İNCREASES AFTER MEALS

AND SHE HAS STARTED TO INSULİN..

    SHE İS TYPE-2 DİABETİC..

  • I noticed you mentioned about the OmniPod and the Dexcom Seven being integrated. Check out this all in one insulin pump, CGM and glucose pump that's being developed. I don't have a CGM yet but it would be nice for the CGM and PDM fuctions to be available on one machine even if I would have to wear a separate insulin pump and CGM.

  • @bflosabreshockey well it looks like dexcom is the leader in the CGM world, but not sure where Omnipod is now. I understand that Dexcom is speaking with Roche about disitronic systems as well. I am a bigger fan of my dexcom than my omnipod. Hopefully in 1-2 years there will be one device!

  • Hi George, great video you have. I've been using the OmniPod for almost two years now. I noticed you said you wear your pod on your thighs and arms. I've worn it pod on front of my thighs but haven't had luck with the pod staying on for the full term of the pod before it came off. I also am unsure how to wear it on my arm since my thigh didn't work out so well.

    Do you have any tips?

    Thanks!

  • hey! Yes, I first figure out why it is falling off.... Is the adhesive not sticking to skin or it the pod ripping off the adhesive? I have to shave a 4 inch square on my upper thighs to get it to stay. I will sometimes use duct tape if I know I will be exercising. Same thing with my arm. @bflosabreshockey

  • Hi George, this is my follow up message regarding the REH herbal concoction. I am sure you haven't heard of REH herbal but I really suggest you try this because you have nothing to lose. There has been a 90 days study done by independent investigators using REH herbal in 20 DP scheduled to be amputated for over 2 years. 16 of them cured, 2 of them backed out and 2 of them disqualified. And you are not even close to being challenging to REH herbal. Pls. do yourself a favor, reybhk@gmail.com
