That golfer scene in The Young Ones, where he says "You should have been here earlier, I holed in one", was ment to sound like a crap unfunny joke, if you listen, youll hear he is speaking in an American accent, the scene is a take off on American comedy and just how un funny and dull it also, also if you keep watching that scene youll hear its the same fake laughter track over and over again, man isnt it funny how it was an American who didnt understand that scene lol

Something else, do your research, The Young Ones wasnt cancelled in 1986, they did two series, one in 1982, the other in 1984, and they stopped after a second, thats not rare in British Comedy, look at Fawlty Towers. The writer went on to do Blackadder and the actors went onto stage performances and other comedy shows like Filthy Rich and Catflap, 'Big Aliigator moment' - Nostalgia Critic rip off much??

Huh? How does a stage show count when the original format was TV show? Yea they did a stage show for a charity fund raiser in 1986 called Comic Relief, but no TV show and NO cancellation, in fact also that year they had a number 1 single doing a song called 'Living Doll' with Cliff Richards, so two years after the show ended there was still plenty of hype and popularity around the whole Young Ones act, not bad for a time that you say they were "cancelled"
