Well I think that a parent letting their kid have parties is a good thing that shows their trust in their child. The thing is, the 21 year drinking age in the US and it's severity makes it hard. Here in Quebec, it's 18, but kids at restaurants drink when they are 13. It's just a culture that we know how to drink when we hit 18. So parties are actually pretty cool and controlled!

Seriously? Something has gone wrong when people are surprised that there are teenagers that DON'T drink. I mean, I don't drink. I never have. I know a bunch of people that don't drink. Teenagers are still kids. They check the limits of society. It is really bad to let them supervise themselves. They can simply do anything if they are drunk. If I was a mother i would never let my offsprings go to an unsupervised party. I am 23 , but I would never go to an insecure place.
