  • I have a 2000 300M. Do you notice horsepower gains from this mod?

  • I have a blue 2001 300m and I just had a local exhaust shop remove both of the rear resonators today. Watching this video gets you pumped up...but actually driving this car without resonators is amazing! its intoxicating how nice of a tone it is. I couldnt stop smiling and getting on it off the stop lights. IF YOU HAVE A 300M YOU NEED TO DO THIS! This is by far the best investment ive made since ive bought the car. Its so much louder in person, its great. Do it, you wont regret it.

  • @BradCm7 Hey man the cars got a resonator in the front near the cats, then a muffler,,,then the rear resonator with the exahust tips....which ones did you have removed? Did you leave the big muffler? or did you leave the front resonator where the 2 pipes from the cats go in....and chop the muffler and rear resonator? thanks

  • @Mikeandwendy74 the car actually has 2 resonators, and one muffler. There is one resonator before the muffler, and then one more resonator right after the cats. I didnt remove the muffler, but just the 2 resonators. So essentially the exhaust setup runs like this. Cats > Straight pipe > Muffler > Out.

Pretty simple, I had my local exhaust shop remove them for 80 dollars.

  • @BradCm7 Thanks for the quick response man, I just removed the resonator near the cats yesterday...swapped with a y-pipe.... Next is going to be the rear resonator and I will leave the factory mufler in place....hopefully it will sound nice nice

  • I did that to my 300M and it sounds so amazing, i've had 6 of my friends say that thats the best sounding exhaust they have heard for a v6 or any car in a long time

  • nice we have a 2000 300m

  • i love the car color my firend , its pmt. i have a 99 in that same color with a nice exhaust note as well.

  • i have the same kind of car, only mine is a 99

  • It seems to me the M has a resonator after the cats then a muffler and then a resonator with exhaust tip.

So, did the shop remove the muffler and the resonator? If you have a special M there would be two resonators after the muffler.

If they took out muffler and resonator/s then you have straight pipes from cats back... which it does not sounds like straights to me...

Let me know, just trying to get a grasp of this. So, I mod my M's exhuast. Thanks!

  • Sound good. I might do that to my 300M.

  • jesus man what a nice sound !!!! i have to do that to my M !

  • i did the same about 3 weeks ago after watchin this, shit sounds amazing bruh, get u a cold air intake i avg 29-31 mpg on the highway now dont blast the 700watt system no more just to hear the exhaust

  • Sound dam good!!!!! it has a sound you'll never 4 get, like a mustane 5.0 a sound you can point out of a million motors!!!!!

  • thanks brah

  • SOUND SO NICE :) I've heard it live its disgustingly good

  • sounds awesome man. mine sounds just like that. my vid cam is sh!t tho... check it out..where in ontario are you? i'm in ottawa

  • this sounds amazing. what was removed? the resonator and the muffler?

  • nice vid man.. i have the same car but its a 1999.. is that a regular 300m or a 300m special?

  • It's just a regular. Special wasn't made until 2003? I think.

  • nicce thanks man.. what part of the exhaust do you have to remove to make it sound like that?

  • The rear resonators were removed, there was 2 of them I believe. Just go to a shop that does exhaust work and ask them to remove the rear resonators. They'll know what to do.

Doesn't cost much either, around 80-100 bucks. $150 tops.

  • @xTheSixeRx 2002 the special was made
