Seeing as "Splash Launcher" was only in the arcade games, not the anime, I assumed they were just lazy with the animation and used part of it for Splash Launcher...

For the Sailor Moon R movie scene, I prefer it to be "Splash Launcher".

You're right: "Splash Launcher" made more sense than "Shine Aqua Illusion" during that movie scene.

I think Splash Launcher sounds better in the movie. I never paid attention to how similar the two attacks looked, thank you for pointing that out.

I always thought it was splauncher in the movie. Good eye. I thought i was crazy. Maybe the SuperS movie would match up with splash launcher. Like on the boat and fighting the bon bon babies in the playground.
