Actually, in the series' version, there isn't what is confusing... So, fact that he didn't write that for Erica, that makes sense with the old 2019 ! Is that clear ?

Anyway, the piece of lyrics I put last time is from the Pigott Brothers and we don't hear it in the show, even in the season 2 finale.

That's why it confused me.

Looks like Kai did wrote the song thinking about Erica but when she goes to the future, he doesn't know her. And he regrets (in 2019) not to have sing this song (in 2009). So, the song wouldn't be really about Erica and him...

Does anyone has a theory ?

@cendrillo0 aaaaactualy he finished the song because of erica, not thinking about her or stuff like that ... the song was kay's masterpiece but he never got to finish / sing it ... the fact that he doesn't know her when she goes to the future is because at that moment they were strangers in the present ... if you'll watch season 3 you'll see that the future kai knows her pretty well now but the present kai still doesn't know her :) ...

When I look at his facial expression, I think in this first version, Sebastian's more emotionally connected in the song than in the finale one.

They just aired the season finale here in Newfoundland with the complete version of the song . Its so beautiful and it has clips with Erika and Kai . I cried . If you follow the show , i dont want to ruin it for you , but i will say the ending is pretty sad .
