I was in a play with Hilary once in Bellingham. She was only 14 or so, I was about 25. She made funny Jim Carrey-style faces at me alot during rehearsals. She was very animated. Who'd've thought she'd make it bigtime?

She shouldn't have. She's very overrated, as is that awful boxing movie. A movie about women boxing should never have been popular. It only had merit because Clint Eastwood was involved. Next to Rocky or Raging Bull it is bush league.

Hilary Swank gave an amazing performance in Freedom Writers. I can't say I'm crazy about the narrator for Artisan News Service. She's very deadpan.
