This band deserves WAY more recognition...They're keeping simple rock n roll alive in this country, which is much needed. They get such a huge sound out of just three people. Their first album was full of great songs, with no bad ones in the bunch in my opinion. The two songs I've heard from the new album sound extremely promising too. Also the drummer reminds me of John Bonham a lot.

@FooKing93 Yeah, well I would say the black keys are keeping rock alive more than anybody because they are the most popular. That being said, rock is improving substantially through The Black Keys, Florence + the Machine, Fun., Gotye, Muse, and many others. It is no coincidence that all these bands put modern twists on old rock. Band of Skulls is one of those types of bands and yes, deserves more recognition

@ultralight9 dude, this is rock. And it's mainstream (as in millions of people have heard of the Band of Skulls). Have you not heard them on a local radio station? Alternative refers to a brief time in history where a new style of rock was countering the mainstream (hair rock, 80s synth rock/pop, etc..) and they labeled it 'alternative' cause it was the alternative to the mainstream. Now that music IS mainstream. Not that there is anything wrong with that. These guys rock, nuf said.
