An animated movie about talking fast foods had as part of it's advertising some bright boards with some guys from the moon on them, and the city of Boston thought they were terrorist devises and mobilized all possible agencies in what has to be the mother of all overreactions, and then blamed the creators of the show instead of being properly embarrassed.
If I was in Boston I would be scared as shit right now. If there are really people that fucking stupid in the bomb squad (A job that you must know what a bomb looks like) i can only imagine how terrible the police department is. I think that the only reason they didn't sweep this under the rug is because the press picked up the story and the bomb squad was willing to sell-out a few innocent in order to keep and good public image, because if the media is on your side you have the majority.

Wow...ok...so I agree that freedom of speech is abused...but to limit this...what makes you think other things that people want to talk about cant be? It would start with this, and then somone else would say...hey I dont like that either...so then that person gets put in jail, and that topic is gone...it will just keep going and going...go watch the christmas episode of South Park...I know that might be below your high standards..but that explaines exactaly what im talking about.
